First of all packages should be optional, not pushed on people, we should be able to choose like all the other parks, or just pay for the hotel and get tickets seperate and for as many days as we want. They can limit the amount of tickets they sell to Passholder and to the rest of the public, also if they do a reservation system, they also have to have different amount of reservations a Passholder can make depending on their pass and the same for the rest, depending what the purchase, like Disney does

Finally a voice of reason regarding AP'S for EPIC. We've had our Universal & Disney AP's forever and I would be shocked if Universal didn't have EPIC as an ad on to current AP'S. I could see us having to maybe have a reservation system to get in, that would be understandable, but for those who think it will be years before they give us the option to add EPIC on are nuts. Also I agree with the soft openings, i think we'll see these for a few months before the grand opening. Also don't be shocked if AP'S get previews, this park is going to need all the previews they can get so the park operations know how to handle the crowds and get the kinks out before its open to the public, last thing Universal wants is a bad Grand Opening where nothing works.

Great video. There are so many ways they could do this. However, a reservation system is something I completely expect (except for Helios, Terra & Luna). Crowd control is a priority. You don't want angry employees dealing with frustrated guests. Universal needs to protect both the employees and the guests for everyone's sake. As far as annual passes. My preference is we get the option to add the EU before parks opens publicly and they give us a couple of months to visit the park. This would give Universal a great audience to use as guinea pigs, plus we are more likely to provide the best feedback (except for the people that like to complain about everything). This is when I think Helios will open, after AP previews, when they are ready for the public. We should get the opening date announcement by Aug 2024, along with AP sales and finally an AP preview announcement for March through May. But I could be completely wrong...

Based on the location of the hotel, it looks like the Helios Grand might have a back entrance to the park like the Epcot hotels. And with the positioning of the lands, Wizarding World is on one side of the hotel and Dark Universe on the other. In the artist’s renderings, it looks to me that Wizarding World is very close to the east side of the hotel. It makes me think they might offer Helios Grand hotel guests an even earlier entry than guests of other Universal hotels. If so, the room rates will certainly reflect that … well, they’ll reflect just based on proximity. But if there’s any sort of back entry (and why wouldn’t they not have a back entry for the Helios Grand? It wouldn’t make sense to have to shuttle guests from the hotel to the front entrance when there could be entry near the hotel.) they could easily offer exclusive access times. There could be three park entries from the hotel actually. The center through the lobby which should be open to the public connects Celestial Park but maybe they wouldn’t open that until later in the day. There could be entrances or “portals” into Wizarding World and Dark Universe via the east and west wings of the hotel that require room keys to enter those areas of the hotel.

Great observation, I think you are dead on with this prediction. I think helios grand hotel guests will have many perks only available to them within the first few years of epic universe being open. Such as early entry , and possibly a few years down the road Xpress pass and only available to them.

The multiple entrances are just speculation on my part because the artist renderings show what will probably be the most popular sections coming up the east and west sides of the hotel. The center of the hotel comes right into the center path of the park and seems to be the most obvious area for the back entrance; but that would also be where the lobby is and would seemingly need to be relatively more open to the public. (Almost certainly restaurants they’d want accessible to more than hotel guests.) I figure they might not want crowds lining up in the lobby every morning. So, if there is a park entrance/exit in the center near the lobby, they might not want to open it until later in the day. Though the public parking would be at the front entrance, I imagine there might be enough rope drop guests who would figure out the strategy of Ubering to the hotel to get to the biggest Harry Potter ride first if the back park entrance was through the lobby and open to the general public. I suppose they could just weed out non-hotel guests for the first hour at the center entrance … or they can have exclusive guest entrances directly into Wizarding World and Dark Universe (because that rendering shows the two wings of the hotel pointing right into them) that open early and a general public entrance/exit that opens an hour or two after official park opening.

I don't. I'd rather they sell single day tickets, but limit how many they sell for a given day. There is no perfect way to handle it, but they may have to do what disney does to handle capacity. Limit the amount of single day tickets and make park reservations for multi day tickets. It's not ideal, but epic is a high demand and such practices are needed.

Yeah this is why my family isn’t going until 2026. I can’t handle the hassle. One thing to add I don’t expect there to be an express pass option for epic universe for a while. What I could see them doing a few years down the road is only offer Xpress pass to those staying at the Helios grand itself. So I know a few folks at Universal who have said that there will be NO annual pass inclusion for Epic Universe. So there is no pricing for a 3 park... because it won't be offered initially. If you're guesstimating for the future then what you listed makes total sense. I don't know what's going to be the final plan epic will have, but pushing packages on people that they can't afford or want to do because they've been to all the other parks, to me is totally Wrong of Epic to do. Passholders should have the ability to buy daily or at least a 2- day pass just for Epic, one day is not going to be enough. If they are going to push packages, then, we should be able to buy a 2-3 park and go to epic all those days. Don't push the other parks when that's not what people want to do, because they do it all the time, already. I hope Epic does not make this mistake, because the only ones buying these packages will be those that have never been here and will be making it their vacation, but still an annual pass specially like it is now, I go to whatever park I want, for as many days as I want, like I Disney, I can go 3 days straight to Epcot if I choose to. I hope they do this right, so we all get the chance to enjoy this new park specially when we want not when they say or how they say, that's not right.

A 2 park ticket means park hopping, or park to park as they call it. A two day 1 park ticket still gives people access to both parks, just on separate days. The biggest downside is guests cannot ride the Hogwarts Express. A 3 park ticket doesn't make a lot of sense as park hopping between Epic and US would be difficult and time consuming. The idea that they would bundle 1-2 Epic days with US/IA tickets makes sense so as to incentives people to still visit those parks. That's where we're likely to see discounts in the first year or two of Epic. I would still expect them to offer 1 and 2 day tickets to Epic, they'll just be at that higher price point per day. If attendance suffers at the older parks then we could be in for some decent bundled savings. Statistically opening new parks shows a decline in other park attendance. IOA was popular, but when it opened US saw a decrease in annual attendance.

I was a little confused when you showed the 3 park annual pass prices. From my understanding, the 3 park annual pass was for Studios, Islands, and Volcano, so shouldn't the price list chart say 4 park annual pass prices when adding Epic Universe? I remember upgrading my park pass to the 3 park pass when Volcano Bay was starting to open. Great video though, super informative if everything turns out to be true (or close to it).

Yes, basically the way Universal describes their passes, the 2-park includes US and IOA. Above that they add the Volcano Bay and it becomes 3-park. So keeping with that a 3-park will include US, IOA, and EPIC and the 4-park will add Volcano Bay. Essentially Volcano Bay moves to the back. This is because the addition of Volcano Bay currently does not increase the price proportionately. Hope that makes sense. It is a bit confusing - they should probably consider changing Volcano Bay to a Waterpark additional option like how Disney does it to reduce confusion. 👍🏼

@@TheNobleWay We WERE Disney AP holders for several years in the "before" time. We really did make the best of it living just two hours away and doing two and three day jaunts. The APs paid for themselves very quickly. But as Disney removes services and bennies while increasing prices and the crowds STILL come. we were done. I have been fortunate to go to Universal opening year and Islands. Also was at opening year of Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. I would not want to go to Epic opening day. It will be crazy crowded. I let my Universal pass expire last year. I’m waiting to see what they are going to do price wise. One thing I would like to see is them do more live entertainment. Disney for me with my pixie pass is the best value out of all the Orlando parks. I don’t think Epic will change that IMO

Definitely agree on both fronts - getting acces to previews prior to opening day will be the best bet - opening days are a train wreck for sure! More live entertainment for sure - really looking forward to the How to Train Your Dragon show and also love shows like the Bourne show at Universal Studios! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

The highways in and around that area don't have much capacity, it's going to be a recipe for gridlock. Wonder if they've made any future plans for how to get from Universal Studios to Epic? Train, maybe? Even something like the Skyliner? hm....

Mary, they are building something called the Kirkman Road extension - which takes you directly from Universal to Epic Universe in less than 5-10 mins so that will be the primary pathway and will help ease traffic quite a bit. They have also been widening Universal Blvd around the main entrance to Epic Universe. Lastly, there is a possible entrance from Sand Lake and also one from Destination Parkway which could possibly be used as well. But yes, it’s definitely going to kick the traffic up a notch in that area! 👍🏼

We've had the Preferred annual 2-park pass for 7+ years and we don't have any blackout days, same as the Premier. Other than that, I like the educated guesses on all of these numbers.

The preferred only has Volcano Bay blockouts (3-park) so yeah for sure the 2-park doesn’t have any since Volcano Bay is not included. I think that’s were it’s getting mixed up how I was talking about them wasn’t clear! Thanks! 👍🏼

Typically you can add on if purchased directly from Universal. Not sure how it will work through Floratix. Either way you will likely be able to buy the single epic if available then.

Wrong info. The 1 day 1 Park Florida resident ticket STARTS at 119. Depending on the day. Saturday I just paid 138 a day for 1 Park. So it depends.on the day

Highly likely Universal will have deals prior to Epic for the two original parks. I’d keep an eye out because they should be hitting around Sept - Oct for the November and after timeframe.

It’s a good question - but with Universal you are able to upgrade at anytime to add another park so even if you decide to buy them now you should be good to just upgrade when and if Epic becomes a part of the pass options!

I think it is funny that Disney thinks that Epic Universe is going to help their attendance. If you are right about Universal requiring a 3 day pass to get into Epic Universe ( and it sounds reasonable to me) Disney’s attendance at the Animal Kingdom and Epcot is going to decline a lot.

When I go to Universal Studios I usually go for ten days and buy the unlimited tickets for the three parks. So that means that and correct me if I am wring I can only go to epic universe for one day. I mean I know they want to control crowds but I usually go solo.

Existing Universal fans as well as the growing legions of fans tired of Disney's clown show will pack this place for a while. You just be good to go, if all things go to plan you should minimally get 1 - 2 days at Epic. The VIP packages definitely have a chance of being for any of the premium resorts as well, not just Helios based on Diagon Alley.

Yes, there will be - the 4th will be volcano bay and the price should go up about as much as it does whej going from 2 to 3 day currently. However they may opt to change the way Volcano Bay works and change it to a waterpark option similar to Disney.
