But id honestly say this is one of the most awesome builds iv seen, I love villages and small buildings, but this really gives that same feel and brings everything together into one massive build. its the best of both worlds

But since they are stairs they won't count a roof so hopefully that was taken into account if there were crafting stations place inside those buildings.

Just tested that I was curious too after seeing your comment lol and the answer is No the water levels stay pretty much the same, I think it could be because it is built on a S shaped river.

A step by step guide for this would take many videos, but if I get enough response on this video I may do one, The idea for this came to me when I came across an Image on google of a viking ring fortress, I found the nice river area on my build seed and decided I would do a version of a ring fortress but would use the river as a canal for the build :)

This is a great idea. Did you have to make changes to the terrain beyond flattening? I assume the river wasn't that straight when you started but did you need to deepen it? And did you have to make the sides of the river really steep so enemies can't come in?

river was a S bend river did not make any changes to the river, apart from it was wider and I narrowed it, the land I flattened using a mod to save time :)

yes roof is under the stairs slightly lowered so they don't clip.

Nice build though not necessarily unique. I've built similar holds a couple of times in my playthroughs though not with the new pieces.
