An actual Victorian Era TW would be very, very interesting. You have the Franco-Prussian War, the Austro-Prussian War, Crimean War, and in South America, the Paraguayan War, where over 69% of the population of Paraguay died, including 90% of the men. You can even do the French and Mexican War, and the Boer Wars. I really want that game made, man.

Hey apollo, i never thought you where going to make a video about it. So much thanks!!!! Yes, to play as the USA you need the Obama faction DLC. Actually my recommendation is to have all DLC's. The tier 1 units represent the 1850's to 1860's time frame. More tiers will be added. The campaign you saw is the mini campaign "Rise of the Sun Empire" that focuses on the Rise of Japan as an Imperial power. After, many more campaign maps will be added. New added ships will be added, custom siege and battle maps, etc...

The kneel ability actually is from vanilla They basically double your fire rate How they do that is when the first line fires they kneel so that the second line can then fire Rinse and repeat So basically fire by rank Thats it Its pretty great to use when your on the defencive

Even though this game is set in Japan, you could say and set the battle somewhere in Europe... I mean, the whole setting with the mountains and such can be set into the lower Alps, but if it is France, Germany, Italy or even Austria, is all up to interpretation. Would be fun to see a battle with Belgium, Apollo. Perhaps you can have a battle between Belgium and France, let's see who is the better of the two. Or even Belgium against the Netherlands. The Low Countries, locked in battle to see who's the lord and master over the low countries! Whatever you do, keep it up, and never stop posting the good videos!

What most people don't realize about the Victorian period was that it was a PERIOD OF RELATIVE PEACE. Most Total War games are based around major power struggles that ends with changing the established order. There were wars, yes but the wars were very limited in scope. Everyone was relatively happy with what they got and didn't have much territorial ambition as opposed to more turbulent times. Then again, a lot of people would like to be "left alone" during many playthroughs of Total War to build up their shit.

“Kneel fire” and “suppressive fire” are in non-modded Shogun 2. In FoTS, kneel fire makes their fire more consistent as they fire by ranks. Suppressive fire is as you said with more fire in exchange for less accuracy.

From playing FotS vanilla assuming they didn't change anything, Kneel and Fire increases fire rate by having the first 2 rows shoot, whereas otherwise only the front row will shoot I think, unless you're on a steep hill. Suppressing fire in FotS increases fire rate at the cost of accuracy, but also has a slowing effect on charging units.

Hey, nice mod here and nice video, just let me explain you about kneeling if you don't mind : Kneeling allows 2 ranks of your units to shoot at the same time, otherwise only the first rank is firing. It makes them shooting faster, more accurately, in return you just can't move and you got a malus in melee fight. The best way to use kneeling is the way that AI is using it against you, by spreading au the unit in 2 ranks so every one of them can shoot(but yeah, AI is kind of dumb on some ways, but on some others not). That's it! :)

During this time period you had 4 kings and a president that proceeded Napoleon III the emperor at the time, there were many revolutions after the power vacuum left by Napoleon I. Napoleon III led a coup in 1836, another in 1840, and yet another in 1848 that conjured in the 2nd republic that collapsed under a another coup by Napoleon that made him emperor of France. Napoleon III is the nephew of Napoleon I, he constructed the Eiffel tower in Paris, he also invaded Mexico, and ended his reign when he lost to the Prussians in the Franco Prussian war a prelude to the modern warfare of WWI. On a side note Les Legion Etrangere (The Foreign Legion) was formed from the remnants of Napoleon I's Swiss mercenaries and many foreign units that had fought in the Napoleonic wars. It was born during yet another revolution in France by King Louis in 1830 and fought in many famous battles including the battle of Camaron in Mexico. They fought many battles all over the world and the history of the Legion is amazing you can actually still join the Legion today and fight as a mercenary for France. Even if you're an American they except foreigners into their ranks meaning you could join if you wanted to.

Amazing mod. Original Shogun 2 have only two horse per limber/cannon, for example. Six horse are more real... Some french cuirassiers? (heavy cavalry), maybe... They wore their armour even in early WW1 battles!

I'd like a total war game in the Victorian era, or since the fall of Napoleon and ending with 1880, the first Ironclads, Gatling guns, mines, assault from the sea and artillery support from the sea, revolution, and the opportunity to stand on the side of the rebels and the variability of these revolutions, for example, the ruler could be overthrown by his own, more emphasis on domestic policy, for example the addition of inflation (which was already implemented in the mod for Empire, as well as the Palace conspiracies) that the player was not so easy to conquer the whole world at once, to tweak the AI in battles, so that he does not go ahead, but occupies a reliable defense. That was a big part of the world for example North Africa, Indochina, North America entirely to Alaska for example was it possible for Russia to seize her or by Japan, which held industrialization, and South America its Northern part, and of course Europe and Central Asia, the Warhammer experience has shown that it is possible to make a large map, to be able to fight for the colony to stage a revolution.
