@@cancelled_user he can do quarter reaction on the live version in AFAS with Apocaliptica, live in Chili, acapella version and the studio version. Cost some time, but shows how good is Simone as singer. ENJOY btw live in the AFAS is my favorite together with Tides of time and Apocaliptica’s Rise.

The acapella version they did for Omega Alive had me in tears for the whole performance. The song itself is gorgeous and emotional (to me), but that performance really made it into something even more special. It's a pity it's not available on KZbin for everyone to see, but hey: buy the DVD, you won't regret it (and the few videos of the livestream that are uploaded on KZbin really deserve to be watched too: Kingdom of Heaven part 3, Unchain Utopia, Skeleton Key and Victims of Contingency!) Also: Epica make the best ballads. I've rarely heard metal bands or even artists in general who make such beautiful ballads. All of them are gorgeous and touching.

My grandmother passed away one year ago when this song was still a single and every time I listen to it, I can’t help crying not just because it is so melancholic but it seems it was written for her and her soul flowing with the universe like the rivers. I loved your interpretation

Love this song, it’s so haunting yet relaxing. Really beautiful. Have you guys ever listened to anything by Theatre of Tragedy? They’re a bit of an older band that inspired Nightwish, who in turn inspired Epica but they don’t seem to get a lot of recognition or love on the reactor scene.

Epica is amazing, but there are more great Dutch metalbands. You should definitly check out "Dear Mother" With their debut album "Bulletproof". They are a new dutch metalband formed by ex-Delain guitarist Merel Bechtold and ex-Delain drummer Joey de Boer. They teamed up with David "Pear" Hruska as their vocalist. Its realy worthwhile! A really beautiful song. On that note, (bad pun) I'd suggest you check out Sabaton's "Christmas Truce". It's a song about an actual event during the first Christmas on the Western front in 1914. The Germans began singing Christmas carols and and the British replied with their carols. Soon men began leaving the trenches to mingle in no mans land. It was spontaneous and later crushed by their respective high commands. The story is great, the music is great, the production is epic.
