Brilliant. Used this stuff last year on my black Range Rover after spending hours - clay bar, cut and polish. So disappointed with all the streaks, they disappeared after about 3 washes and there was obvious protection. Same process this week and tried less product, more clothes, more wiping off etc to avoid streaks. So bad I only did the bonnet and front wings. I'll give her another wash and try your method. Many thanks.

Thanks for this video. I had exactly this issue on my Black Alfa. Streaking looked awful. Tried the damp cloth trick but it didn't improve the situation until I followed the damp cloth immediately (literally damp cloth left hand, buffing cloth right hand) with a bone dry buffing cloth. Then it started to look great. As you say you will go through multiple buffing cloths because the need to be bone dry. This product still takes a lot of effort to apply to a black car so its not for everyone but if you use it have confidence to power on knowing the streaks will come out with these tips. Also, the direct sunlight tip is bang on product bakes almost immediately in direct sunshine making life even more difficult so choose a grey day, should be too hard in the UK.

Good video and agree like many, the first time I used this I wasn't impressed at all, especially after watching all of the rave reviews. However, I've stuck with it and found the best way of applying on my black car (including in the summer), is to spray the product onto the microfiber cloth rather than directly onto the paintwork. Dave a great video working in the heat is hard and a hot surface on a vehicle can be a challenge. You state the facts and some products are recommended not to be used in direct sunlight. I know that a majority of the products are not to be used in direct sunlight and it's always wise to read the manufacturer directions. Thanks for taking the time to encourage and to teach others the mistakes you have made and to avoid them. I live across the pond and working in the direct sunlight in Texas is challenging. I have products that can be used in direct sunlight and streaking with any product on a dark color vehicle can also be an issue. You said it best power through it and take the time to use more than one towel and just don't get discouraged. If you are ever across the pond and come to SEMA Show drop me a line.

Nice to see the integrity shown by not only making this video but pulling down the others. From my point of view (just doing my own cars), I'm sticking with Seal'n'Shine (or whatever we call it in the UK). The results are stunning, especially if the first application is done slowly with an applicator. I think the longevity, gloss and slickness are hard to beat for the money. However, if I was selling it as a service, like you, I'm sure selling a ceramic sounds much better than selling something from a £10 bottle from Halfrauds ...

Applied it 2 months ago and didn't really have any issues on a dark grey metallic. Used cheap/less plush MF for application, 1 to apply, damp one to remove and a quality buffing towel. Found it pretty easy and no issues. Over application seems to generate most people's problems imo. Throw towels in a bucket of warm water as soon as you are done to stop the product curing into them and a subsequent wash makes them good as new.

I'm glad I stumbled across this video because after using this product yesterday I found it streaked terribly. I did a full correction prior to using it. I thought these spray polishes were supposed to be faster to apply and some would have you believe they are, but in my opinion, the traditional paste waxes are far easier to use given that you don't have to franticly remove the product before it starts to flash-off and I think that's the problem with the streaking with these spray polishes, they start to flash-off before you have a chance to buff it off, especially on the larger panels, so it's those areas that have dried are what cause the streaking. You also mention about it being too warm when you applied this previously but TW claim you can use this in direct sunlight.

Good to see you got it working. I only use 3 towels (but that Tesla was a bit of a barge, so understand the issues), and as I mentioned to you on the previous vid comments before, the wet one is absolutely key to getting results. Little tippy hint from my experience of the range. If you use TW ceramic on a customer car and just one coat, you should try to upsell a leave behind of the ceramic wet wax for them to use after maint washes. It is simple to use, they will love the results and you will become their trusted advisor. A couple of bottles will easily see them through six months on an average car. When you return to re apply the ceramic seal in six months, you will have an easy job and you may of course choose to make a couple of quid on the upsell too if you can get a discount from TW.

I just finish to apply the first layer on my BMW i4 and I agree about the quality of this product. Maybe I would add some advices to easyly get the job done: first of all, don't do this outside if the sun is shining. It's way better to to it inside when at temperature under 10° C. You will not have traces problems. Second, don't spray too much product and work on a single panel ay a time. Spray as you would paint: keep your hand moving toward the surface when spraying. Third, use good microfiber special clothes, one to spread, one dry to polish/finish. Don't wait too long to finish after spreading. I tested with and without polishing car before on small surface and if you have time it's way better to do it first. You will got a better result. It's not very difficult to use, but it requires a few hours of good working. Tomorrow, I will go for the second layer, it will be more relax and a quick job, I think. I hope this will help some of you.

But after the car was all dry and done, it was parked for about an hour Later in the night I decided I was goin put some turtle wax ceramic spray on it. The green bottle. I just noticed and found out you have to use a damp micro fiber when using the green bottle and very light application, well anyways I didn’t do that so now I kinda have that sappy streak look on my pant. Not horrible but I can see it when looking for it. What’s the best strip wash I could use? Turtle wax Max wash? Or Adam’s Strip wash? The car overall has two coats of wax technically it should be super hard to get off. I didn’t put a crazy amount on the first or second time. But it did have time to cure, so I’m afraid the wet damp cloth trick won’t work for me right now. Just basically want to start over and fresh, then I’ll probably only use the hybrid spray when the car is wet cause I like that the most and I get better results, probably cause it’s easier to use.

No streaking, no mess at all. Follow the directions, just 2 sprays per panel, never overspray. I spray directly on the panel or microfiber. For best results, I use Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wash.

thanks for the great tips! Unfortunately I found this video after I used the ceramic spray wax, and I have streaks right now. It's already been a day after I have applied it so the streaks are cured in. Will the streaks deteriorate on its own as time passes by, or will I have to go through a special process to remove the streaks?
@epicautomotivedetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hello those streaks can fixed with a damp towel. With darker cars it shows more. Alternatively give it a quick wash with a bit of shampoo 👌
@joliewu86253 жыл бұрын
@@epicautomotivedetailing are you saying the next time I wash my car, the streaks will go away as I wash? What I meant in my original comment is that the ceramic spray has already dried and cured in. What shampoo do you recommend? Thanks!
@epicautomotivedetailing3 жыл бұрын
I see what you mean. Well it's not 100% sio2 in fact it's very little. Adams strip wash shampoo would sort that out. But first see how a standard wash goes with a panel wipe after. Has it cured badly?

Thx for the video. Is there some brand you recommend for beginners for this sort of work? Not sure whether I go for this one, Meguiars or any other brand/type of product. Normally I'd wash at the car wash, dry it with a cloth, and then I can just apply this product as you instructed, or do I need to wax it before?

To be honest I would recommend a foam sealant. So wash car as normal, put sealant in foam cannon apply and rinse and job done 👍

Quick question. Now that I have applied this stuff it is the next day and I am stuck with (Permanent?) streaks. I failed to spend the necessary hour buffing and rebuffing yesterday. What's the cure? A couple washes and reapply? Go get some Ceramic polish and wax? I'm not completely pissed, but I don't have time for this learning curve.
@epicautomotivedetailing3 жыл бұрын
If washing afterwards doesn't work then go for an abrasive polish like Autoglym super resin Polish

Interesting comments. Here in California, with 2 black cars after about 2 1/2 years, I've had minimal problems, just used a microfiber applicator towel to spread the product around, with not too much product sprayed directly onto to the vehicle and then wiped off with the same microfiber towel using the opposite non damp side, and then buffed with a fresh microfiber towel. Rare streaking, which cleaned off easily with the same applicator which was still damp and wiped off. I spray after each wash ie every 2-4 weeks depending, and can do the entire cars in about 15-20 minutes. No problems with layering. The vehicles look great and get compliments. I have found that streaking can occur when one uses too much product on the same panel.

Hi Dave,the damp cloth idea does work,after applying the Ceramic Spray,it takes a while on a black car.i wonder if you can spray the TW ceramic on a damp cloth,wipe the paint work then take it off.

@darker3rrr4 жыл бұрын
No need to be damp. Just spray it on a towel and spread it on a panel and buff off. its that easy. I recommend this to all spray sealants and waxes especially on dark colored vehicles .

It's very hit and miss depending on these factors in the video. I was guilty of not liking it but the truth is I do and it was my own misunderstanding of the product that was a let down not the ceramic spray itself

Great review. Could you dilute 50:50 with de-ionised water and would this make it easier for black cars. I had the streaking happen to a detail I was doing with TAC Wax undiluted and I over reacted and stop using and went back to the EZ Ceramic Wax. The Tesla looks amazing.

Good vid sir! A fair assessment. Even with the fix here, there are still way too many caveats for how to apply this stuff. Also a 24hr cure time per coat and recommended 2 coats for that 12 month protection. For most driveway detailers/weekend warriors thats just not going to be possible, even with a garage. Quick winter prep, this stuff aint ;) I mean its like the Dulux Paintpod. Too costly for pros and too much hastle for everyone else Does it do a good job? Yes, but the cost, time and prep required, when you can throw on just about anything else as a base thats not as fussy. I'd even use Fusso coat over this in a heartbeat. I can't recommend this product at all, but I cant recommend the older Tw hybrid and Dry n shine enough. i hope that the V2 stuff gets released in the UK

Hello I simply had to make this video as I did one in the summer which wasn't fair of me to be too harsh on it as I said some bad things. But Yeh it's definitely not ideal with the 24 hours waiting time compared to other brands and no I'm not going to sway people into buying it either. This channel is all about simplicity and this product is the complete opposite.

I had best results by applying it with thin cloth, so it spreads more evenly, and most of it disappeared. The bits that didn't disappear - I buffed them with DRY, fuzzy cloth. Took some time, but I think that removing marks with damp cloth also removes the product.
