I have to move them into the greenhouse when temperatures get too low, so a bigger pot is more difficult to move. Vanessa Alexandra Yes they and they remind me of like the effects of a chia seed. They get things moving but it’s a good thing. I never had an unpleasant experience but it’s an all natural way to go! 💩

Does it change the color though? I think we can all agree that that's the main question here.

1st question is what does the dragon fruit do to you when you eat it? Does it give you gas (my guess)? Next question is- I live in the East ( Pittsburgh PA) so I get freezing temperatures in winter & Shorter and not it's not as hot summers as in CA, wiill I be able to grow dragon fruit outside here? Will I have to take it inside during the Winter?? How should I care for it while inside? I have grow lights I could keep it under if that would be best and if that would keep it growing throughout the Winter time. If it would, how many hours of light per day would be recommended? I think I would prefer to buy a cutting to speed up the time to to the fruiting stage stage so do you have a recommended source(s) for purchasing cuttings? I'll definitely check out and subscribe to your channel but I figured I would ask these questions here or for the benefit of everyone in the East. thank you in advance for your help

@@aarongentile7232 I don't get gas from them... And growing them they do like lights in winter and will keep growing if they are warm enough Mine doesn't grow in the winter I have it in a cool window that gets very little light I don't water my cacti much because it's cool and lower light so I don't water and they hibernate in a way But giving them light and warmth in the winter they will grow faster for you And thanks I hope you enjoy your stay

I rescued a sad dragonfruit my neighbor left couple years ago and got my first bloom this week. It was a beautiful white flower and now I'm waiting for my fruit. :) Thanks for all the tips guys.

for the one variety that is having issues with heat, would it do to put them under a trellis or sun-shade cloth to give them some periodic relief from the sun??

Okay, no one asked the 'special' properties of the South American variety, so I will. What is that 'special' quality? Also, I watch both your channels. Back in June a friend of mine in Florida gave me 2 red dragon fruit plants. I still have to make a trellis, but am supporting the branches as best I can until I can must up the courage to go to Lowe's (I'm high risk, so I don't go out). I'm in New Orleans, so they get all types of weather. I plan to move them inside when applicable. There's a big grower across the lake in Covington, LA that also has a KZbin channel.

Excellent video! I have a plant and had no idea what to do with it! I'm so glad I found your videos. There are five flowers on it and I hope I didn't have to pollinate them. I have one in a big pot up on a wall. Now I know how to build a trellis. Thanks so much. 🙂

I was surprised to hear you grow dragon fruit from seed. Do they grow true to the parent? And would you mind suggesting a few nurseries that can be relied upon for good stems to propagate from.
