Despite being a relatively simple lick I struggled to get the basic riff right for ages. I revisited your video and changed my technique so I only down pick the muted low E string and up pick all the others. That seems to be the secret, and sounds much better. I used to alternate pick, with low E on the up picks. It never sounded correct. Tx for your lesson, very helpful. This is a classic and is great to play and rock out to. Tx again and keep it up.

I understood everything without having to "rewind", although you can bet that I'll play it over many times to get that syncopated rhythm down. great lesson. I've been trying to work on getting in and out of riffs and back to the rhythm of the song this is perfect for me. any chance you guys will ever do some Big Head Todd songs like bittersweet?
