This is an outstanding lesson. Parts of the solo sound remarkably like Thin Lizzy. 8:04, for example.

Dave, don’t listen to all the negative comments complaining about the overdrive being too much, the video is on how to play the song, not how to get the exact tone of the record. Cool guitar BTW! One thing I’d like to point out is all the chords sites are misnaming those opening chords, including the description on your video. Opening chords are E5 to E5/D# then D5 to D5/C#. It’s not B/D#, which would have the notes (low to high) D#, F#, B. The chord played low to high to is D#, E, B. Which is E5/D#. Same thing for the D/C#, it’s C#, A, D, Not C#, E, A. You could also technically call the chord the 4th inversion of a major 7th (with no 3rd). E major 7th is root to 7th E,G#, B, D#. So he doesn’t play the third (G#) and puts the 7th (D#) in the bass. Same goes for the D/C#. Bottom line is the chords are not B/D#, or A/C#. Which by the way sound completely different from the chords played in the song.

@@EpicGuitarInstruction I started taking lessons at 12 in '67 in a class of 20 kids. A year later I here Needle and the damage done by Neil Young. I told myself if I could play that song note for note it would be a big accomplishment. Then couldn't put it down until I learned it. Still like that today. From one guitar to another, if you have a chance, check out a few videos of DOVYDOS. This guy is a natural. He's from Lithuania. Might be the best I've seen.
