We as Kurdish have the same tragic incident in 1988 in which Saddam killed thousands of innocent people with chemical weapons 😢 but the world is silent. The massacre has done under the name of Anfal (Quran Surah) in Halabja un Iraqi Kurdistan.

I am so sorry for everything your people suffered. I was visiting Jordan with a group of Americans in 1996, and the dorms were filled with Bosnian girls who couldn’t speak English or Arabic, but only Quranic Arabic. I loved those girls. They were so dignified, and kept their sufferings private. I smiled at them every time we encountered each other in the kitchen or hallways. All I could do was smile, with love.

May ALLAH SWT bless you my brothers and sisters! Thank you for the khatira and the dua. It was an awakening for the youth. There were daily, Juma'a and Eid prayers, Ramadan was observed and people did go to Hajj and mostly by the pre WW2 generation, but our youth was misled. Music and singing was more praised and people said Masha'Allah to that then to someone who could recite Surah-Fatiha. Alcoholism and Zina were prevalent and praised. Same as now Hijab was called "oppression". Clubs and bars were more frequented than a musjid or a madrasa. Qur'an was a decoration, not used as a guide or inspiration. Eids were celebrated only as a day off from school or work. That horrible genocide had to happen, and every day serbs are saber rattling but at least our youth is more involved with Islam and Sunnah. More children are memorizing the Qur'an, attending prayers and madrasahs. Took me a while to reconcile why half my family and friends had to be massacred, i'm one of the awakened kid's from that era but took me a while. Every time i read the Qur'an i end up crying and saying Al-Hamdulillah for being guided out of the modern day jahillia. Please pray for our Brothers and Sisters going through the same test in Myanmar, Palestine, China and the rest of the world and for our kids so they don't end up being woken up in the same manner. I am from the UK and I was in my teens when this genocide took place, at the time I could not understand why the muslim world did nothing as an adult I understand only too well. For centuries and to this day the mir sadiq`s and mir jafar`s amongst us are many ( people from Indo-Pak will understand the reference ) and the Imam Shamil`s too few. I remember the role of the cowardly UN Dutch soldiers who just watched from far as this was taking place. Inshallah Firdous will be full of our Bosnian brothers and sisters who suffered so much, and may Allah bring the perpetrators of these crimes to account when they face Him, may they end up in the same place as Firoun, and same for our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Syria, Kashmir, Xinjiang, the Rohinghya and wherever genocide/ masacres, ethnic cleansing takes place.

1. Read daily protection morning and evening. 2. Read Quran daily for 1 hour. Spead the message. I believe this is the best protection. After doing this you can seek worldly means as it is in sunnah.

I was 17 when Bosnian genocide happened. I watched news on TV and my heart used to tremble at the things shown. I almost had a phobia afterwards. I remember people used to say Bosnians and Eastern European Muslims deserved it Astaghfirullah as they do not practice Islam anymore, they are barely recognized as Muslims in their ways of living and dressing up. Women are like western Europeans. This war purged that nation of people who had forgotten Islam. We see the same situation now in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and so on.

Whatever happened in Bosnia had happened. What can we do prevent this kind of oppressions? 1. Reading the daily protection in the morning and evening. 2. Reading Quran everyday, at least 1 hour of 30 mins. This is based on my experience, I am not a scholar, just an ordinary person.

Sh. Yasir should talk about genocide of Circassian people that happened in the Russian Empire. They were massacred by Russians because they were devoted Muslims. The Circassian genocide was the Russian Empire's systematic mass murder, ethnic cleansing, and expulsion of 80-97% of the Circassian population, around 800,000-1,500,000 people during and after the Russo-Circassian War (1763-1864). The Christian world defends and talks about Ukraine and genocide of Ukrainian people. They would never talk about the genocide of Circassian people. Krasnodar region and the city Sochi in Russia are Circassian territories that have belonged to Circassian Muslims for centuries. Even the name of the city "SOCHI" is Circassian. The motivations were Imperialism, racism, Russification, Russo-Circassian War. Several methods were used by Russian forces such as impaling and tearing the bellies of pregnant women. Circassian civilians were used in scientific experiments and Russian generals allowed their soldiers to rape women. Their only crime was that they were MUSLIMS. It was the biggest genocide of the 19th century.

I search and found this video today immediately after I watched on tv the heinous massacre of 500 people mostly childern in hospital bombing by Isreal in Gaza today. I asked a question that I never asked before in my life :Where is Allah to allow this to happen?! Later I realized my question was wrong and made my estiqfar but still I wanted to know. Evil gives us a chance to do good things. If there were no suffering, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to ease suffering. This life could be an opportunity for us to do so much good. Helping earthquake victims, helping cancer patients, aiding victims of calamities, etc. this is the way we’re meant to live, not sitting around collecting pleasure, living for the moment, satisfying ourselves constantly and being ungrateful of what we have. How can we help the suffering if there are no suffering?

Allah confirms punishment for oppressors. Why dont we make dua for double punishment for oppressors as mentioned in quran?

It is a hopeful and a scary dua at the same time. If we are being oppressed, or if our brothers and sisters are being oppressed and we feel helpless to do anything about it, it is a hopeful dua to make. But if there's even a remote possibility that I have oppressed somebody, it becomes a scary dua as I make it and I have to ask Allah for forgiveness for my actions, and ensure that I don't repeat something like that ever again, and ask Allah that my own good deeds are not wasted on yawm al qiyama. The solution I think is to make dua against oppressors as you said but also make dua that Allah not make me from the oppressors.

@@ismailsarchives7477 In this particular case, this is extremeley and oppressor is kuffar. We as muslims we are helpless and desperate for our brothers and sisters. In this case, I believe we have to make use of the most powerful dua. Btw, why did Allah included that ayah in the Quran? Because we will come to situations in which we need at ayah as a dua. It is up to us to make dua through the miraculous speech of Allah (Quran), we can do after every salah, or every morning and evening, or when we see oppression or as often as possible as we know the oppression remains on going, it has been going on in Palestine for 75 years. If we keep making most powerful dua, in his cause, we could assume that we have done our duty, insha Allah.

I partly agree. Yes, people do get punished for not adhering to God's Laws, but at the same time, even if they do, you can get the same outcome. Take the Martyrs like Hadrat Hamza (ra) and others (ra) who fell on the battlefield whilst defending the Haq. Obviously the only difference is they're in Heaven whereas the others are destined for Jahannam.

I would still say, Ottomans and Muslims in general were too lenient. Had they been sincere, they would have insured all lands (from Iberia to Russia to Hungary to Ukraine to Greece) under their control accepts the message of monotheism i.e., Islam. kreestians were more sincere. They invoked INQUISITION. All the lands under their control, they ensured their faith remains dominant.
