Roger Moore had a lighter wittier style as Bond which helped. He is also the epitome of the suave charming Englishman. It also helped that the Cold War was a context for these bonds.

@@akinsvirtue Sorry, you're a bit confused or misinformed. McCrory (producer of NSNA) had purchased the rights for Thunderball (which NSNA is a remake of) before Broccoli/Saltzman. That's why he's listed on Thunderball's credits because EON Productions had to make a deal with him in order to legally film the movie. So, to claim NSNA is not an "official" Bond film is kinda ridiculous. 🤔 Check out the documentary "Everything Or Nothing" (available on Amazon) for the whole story.📽🎬

I went from 9 to 21 when Roger Moore played Bond, so he was my James Bond. I saw all his Bond's in the theater. I loved Roger Moore before Bond because I loved The Saint tv show. Also people forget Roger Moore was Beau Maverick on the classic western tv show "Maverick". Everyone just thinks there where 2 Mavericks but there was 3 and Roger was my favorite Maverick. RIP Roger Moore. Gone but not forgotten.

Plot is a New York City Detective who is just as inept as Clouseau is hired to find Clouseau since he disappeared on a plane flight en route to Lugash to investigate the theft of The Pink Panther diamond a year prior ala the last film Trail Of The Pink Panther and his fate is unknown to the rest of the world as well as France but he is very much alive and under went extensive plastic surgery and Sleigh stumbles across Clouseau but little did he realize it is him. He thinks he met James Bond himself but wonders why this British actor (Roger Moore) is speaking with an odd French accent. I can tell you that although Roger Moore is no Peter Sellers who played Clouseau 1963, 1964, 1975, 1976, and 1978 but died in 1980 did a great job and shows he had a knack for physical comedy

Moore was a very distinguished James Bond. Perhaps a cut above all others? Connery was less debonair, but equally as cool. Lazenby was an underated Bond. I rather rated Brosnan, but not so much Dalton or Craig. I may be alone in choice"s? But, hey ho.

Great as the saint , great in the persuders.........and for me the greatest bond ever. I met roger Moore when he came to Birmingham a few years before he passed away. Roger sat on stage for well over 2 hours telling stories of his life in the movies and t.v series. He was sharp as a tack and very funny. He still looked great and was so humble it was an absolute pleasure to be In his company for a few hours.

Roger Moore is my favorite bond. He was already an experience actor when asked to play 007 and he was able to made bond a style based on his own traits, humorous, debonair, romantic and really cool looking. The producers liked him so much and made 7 movies. If not for his age, he could have done more.

The Spy Who Loved Me is for me the best bond of all time, totally of its time and it had it all, Moore still at his peak, best car, best gadgets, epic plot, superb locations and stunt sequences, sexiest bond girls ever, best henchman and best music - who can forget Bond and uber sexy “such lovely lines” assasin Caroline Munroe still flirting as she was trying to shoot the Esprit before it dived off the pier - all to that amazing Marvin Hamlisch score. Best opening sequence, that ski jump, best atmospheric menace - Jaws at the pyramids , even the best one liners “All those feathers and he still cant fly!”…”just keeping the British end up, sir!”… aahh happy days. RIP Roger - nobody did it better.

I liked his more as a child but as I got older, I didn't care for most of his iteration. However, The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only are still favorites for me. When he actually gets a little dark, he can nail it even if the movies don't go there enough.

@@EpicMovieCompilations Timothy Dalton was my 2nd favourite Bond! Such a pity he didn't carry on with the role in a few more films - he was gritty, tough, intelligent & had just the right timing, when he needed to be funny/light-hearted.

I'm 21. My dad is a big James Bond fan. We used to have all these CDs of James Bond films. I grew up watching James Bond films and Roger Moore was me and my dad's favorite. One of my biggest goal in life was to meet him as a very big fan. Sadly he passed away before I could meet him. Thanks for this amazing compilation.
