Sean Connery was the first actor to perform the role on the big screen. He appeared in Dr. No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967) and Diamonds are Forever (1971).
In 1983 he returned to the role for the last time in the unofficial James Bond film, Never Say Never Again (Which I didn't include).

There is no question about it - Sean Connery had the sexiest voice ever - it is little wonder so many actors and comedians around the world wanted to copy and imitate him, and that is when you know someone has become an icon. He had the kind of voice which would just make women melt, together with his handsome looks. Without eve being overbearing, he also had an enormous presence, you would know when he entered the room. Best Bond ever without a doubt.

Great video! I'm still tempted to learn about trading, I know people say 80-90% of people aren't successful and lose money, but a 10-20% success rate is not that bad. Something like 90% of people surely fail at a lot of things - weight loss, quitting smoking, learning an instrument, becoming self employed... We don't tell people never to start a business because a lot of them fail. Trading probably attracts a lot of get rich quick without doing much hard work type of people as there's no barrier to entry, no interview process etc. Then again I may be horribly wrong but I wouldn't bet the house on trades unless it was in the hands of a man I met here on KZbin, Mr. Nicholas. who help me in the trading with his winning streak strategies. I honestly think that during the Connery era, that's when the franchise was on a real winning streak. Most of Connery's films are among the best in the franchise and they were the ones that best balanced the thuggish grit and light-hearted touches without going too far in either direction. They had some of the best villains and some of the best Bond women. On that latter note, Connery's Bond women have a special distinction in that two of them are the only ones to kill main bad guys.

I saw From Russia with Love in 1965. I was 16 years old. I have seen many many times Dr. No. I found in that movie he was acting. His face expressions were not what he uttered. But in FRWL it looked it were CCTV and his acting was so natural. I had the honour to see him in Sharjah in 1979. Sir RIP.
