Brella Shield Review- As Seen On TV Umbrella Car Shade!

The As Seen On TV Brella Shield- amzn.to/3PUjEdJ is handy to use as it opens and closes just like an umbrella. And it keeps my steering wheel and dashboard cooler- but the car itself stayed 119F in full sun whether the Brella Shield was in place or not. So I don't think a windshield shade keeps your car cooler but it does keep the direct sun off the dash and front seats and so makes them more comfortable.
A few years ago I convinced myself I was in-shape enough to climb the highest mountain in Texas- Guadalupe Peak- • Guadalupe Peak Climb &... Things didn't go as planned!

I have the WeatherTech windshield cover. I also crack all my windows and sunroof. It makes a huge difference.

Nobody else has mentioned how hot the handle gets. Not sure if I want to get a sun shade umbrella now. The temperature doesn't actually drop, shades prevent the seat or steering wheel from getting burning hot. That's just the false advertising claims.

Definitely better than nothing! We splurged on the Weathertech custom fit ones… Not at convenient to roll and unroll but they work great! You should review / test one of those solar powered exhaust fans that stick in the window… dunno if they work but very curious!

I don't remember where I got the one for my car, but it does seem to be custom fit and insulated and also makes a major difference. I will have to look at Weathertech for my next car. I have been using their floor mats for a long time now and they do make nice products. I didn't know that they had sun shields.

And in the few times I have been to Death Valley the humidity was always very low and your sweat evaporated. Here in Austin it just tends to form rivulets and runs off you.

7:57 - Potential measurement error. If your were measuring metal, then you need to add tape to it so it isn't reflective. If you are pointing at a reflective surface then the reading your getting may be a reflection of what your measuring instead of what your measuring. Thank you for doing a review of this. I've always wondered how well they work when seeing them in stores. Thumbs up from me.

@@EpicReviewGuys My knowledge is second hand, watching thermal testing on PC components where they said they added tape to a surface to stop it from being reflective in order to get an accurate measurement. In my non expert opinion, if the surface isn't reflective then you should be fine. Looks like there is information online when googling such as 'Understanding and fixing infrared thermography issues on reflective surfaces' In the end I care more for your health then for this to be an accurate measurement. I would rather have stay cool then to get overdone in a hot vehicle. Thank you for the followup comment.

That one is just not big enough for your car. unless they make larger ones, for wider cars, you just saved me $20.00. The foldable one I have been using that fits the windshield, does make a major difference inside the car. It sounded like a good idea, but making something fold up like an umbrella makes it have to be too thin and not insulated, so it is just slightly better than using nothing. Thanks for the video, but I think I will stay with the one I have been using.

I think for the umbrella features to work they might have needed to use metal. I don't think plastic would hold up.
