Whenever a cooking show is trying to demonstrate the consistency that you are looking for they talk about what it should do to the back of a spoon. Well, my gf wanted an ice-cream maker so I got her one. Needless to say I also had to give it a go. So far the rum-raisin-cinnamon experiment was probably the most tasty. It takes some skill and some testing to determine the right proportions of ingredients, but boy does it feel good to nail it.
