Күн бұрын

Professional chef instructor Frank Proto and experienced home cook Daniel are trading recipes and whipping up some ice cream sundaes. We set Daniel up with an over-the-top $178 worth of ingredients and Frank's recipe while sending just 12 bucks worth of goods back to our esteemed expert. As is customary, food scientist Rose dialed in to assist Daniel in achieving Frank’s vision. How did his skills stack up against Frank's decadent banana split recipe? What tricks can Frank break out to improvise a sundae up to his standards?

Whenever a cooking show is trying to demonstrate the consistency that you are looking for they talk about what it should do to the back of a spoon. That's fine but they only show what success looks like, never failure. Maybe a quick video demonstrating all the typical thicknesses of sauce over time would be useful/interesting.

Well, my gf wanted an ice-cream maker so I got her one. Needless to say I also had to give it a go. So far the rum-raisin-cinnamon experiment was probably the most tasty. We also own a Springlane and I would really advise to buy one with active cooling via compressor. It takes some skill and some testing to determine the right proportions of ingredients, but boy does it feel good to nail it.
