My buddies in scouts would always get on my case 'cause I took too long toasting my marshmallows. I seem to be one of the few people who doesn't like burning them. I would just patiently hold and spin the mallow 3 inches away from the fire for a good couple minutes, but they would come out perfectly golden brown and almost melting off the stick. It was worth the wait, even if I only got 2 to everyone else's 5.

They're delicious but really sweet. Like, sweet enough to make your teeth hurt. (For this reason I'll use dark chocolate.) I also TRY to keep it to just two or three bites, and toss the rest. 😋 Also, don't microwave 'em. Wait until you're grilling out (charcoal/ open flame) to try them.

The only way I've ever made smores, is by assembling the whole thing and throwing it in the microwave for a couple of seconds. not even gonna lie I always pick a stove top set on high to brown my marshmallows over anything else because it completely melts the inside of the marshmallow while getting the outside glass crisp and never burns, so much easier to control than a open flame

Wow! I would never thought I would see a day where even Chef Robert Ramsey can’t make a proper item. You toast the outside to create a caramelized crisp “skin”. Burnt sugar destroys the Maillard reaction making the sugar bitter. If you get really good you can peel the caramel “skin” off and toast the inner marshmallow again.

Best s'mores I've ever had was a smoked one. I had some chicken and pork chops in the smoker one night and since I had a campfire I wanted some s'mores. Then I just got the idea to put the ingredients together and place it on the exhaust for the smoker, it melted nice and slowly and the taste was beyond phenomenal. Yeah, a lot of people just isn't born with marshmallow around as common product, at least in my place. I really need to look for the M in marshmallow since most supermarket doesn't even sell it and I curently live in the city.

@@HadeaRin We do have marshmallows available all year round, but s'mores still isn't a thing
