Vans socks, Lakai shoes & in-line skates. I love this! I’m one of the few who loves skateboarding & Rollerblading. I’ll never understand the hate between the two communities, they’re both great 👍
@DanRoworth4 жыл бұрын
That's where it started 😄 Still get into it from time to time, I just couldn't get into transition skating on a board. We have nothing but love between them all where I am and it's brilliant.

@Diego Rivera people are the issue.. The same skateboarders who smack talk Inlines, hate on skateboard beginners, new brands coming into the scene etc You see it from time to time and it's just the person.

Im a blader,i can ununderstand the hate,we were new to the sport and we can do any deck tricks,mainly grinds and spins so i get why they think of us the way they do,but then i always get the confidence booster when i see them try to roller blade let alone hit a jump or drop in. Funny stuff

What a great little skate park. Wish I had one near me like that, and empty too! Nice work.

It’s so funny to see a lot of 30+ people are start to go skate again 😄 That park looks like a good park to re learn your tricks. Greets from the Netherlands.
@DanRoworth4 жыл бұрын
Joey Oranje it’s such a good park, the bowl is a good height and everything else is fairly small so minimal risk of a decent injury if I fall haha 🙌🏻 right back at you from Australia! Hope you guys are fairing better than we are 🙏🏻

@@DanRoworth I think what he meant to say instead of funny is GREAT. As a 30 something who skated as a kid and got another pair recently I'm exciting to get back into aggressive skating. I was gifted a pair of hockey skates and never stopped doing rec.skate but I'm excited to get back into it. P.S. It's nice no one is there. If I was working on my tricks again while a bunch of uber talented kids were flyin around I'd be mad shy.

Ive recently gone back to blading. So far without injury. One thing is getting my goat though. For some reason I'm finding it hard to commit to a trick. Like a soul grind for instance. I can stall it but when I comes to actually doing the grind I can't......

How long do you have to skate before hitting it like that? I’m getting my first skates tomorrow and can’t wait!
@DanRoworth4 жыл бұрын
That was two months of skating but I was already comfortable just moving around. So it will depend on how quickly you get comfortable on them and then how willing you are to fall to make quick progress! If you haven't ridden them before, I'd just find a nice flat open space, and get comfortable moving around, turning, T-Stopping, jumping, pivots, 180s etc buy yourself some cheap cones and practice weaving, jumping over them and so on. Good luck!

Hope you enjoy them and thank you. If you see the most recent video I've posted it includes music. Learning how to improve my videos is as much of a journey as learning to skate! Lost of time spent tweaking. Thanks for watching 🙏

@EGLately4 жыл бұрын
you should look into getting them hip pads. seems like most of your hard falls are you coming down on your hips.
@DanRoworth4 жыл бұрын
Honestly man you're completely right about that one! I'm using G-Form hip/tailbone but I could definitely use more padding. I've been learning to get to my knees instead, that's started saving my so much more than more padding.

It’s tough being in your 30’s and trying to get back into rollerblading... especially when you have to wear pads... It hurts more to hear scooter kids taking smack than it does to take a fall nowadays!
@DanRoworth4 жыл бұрын
It took me a while to adjust to the level of fitness needed, but honestly it's been such a good journey since then. I don't even worry about the scooter kids, they have handle bars to hold onto and they can jump off when things don't go their way ;P
