I used 088 heads on my 454 with a solid roller cam. Stock bottom end with a 3500 stall in a powerglide in my old 65 impala. With 373 gears it was ripping the tires about 2 inches of the ground with stock 14 inch wheels on white walls. The big block is a power house

Ordered a new 454 L29 crate engine for my 2000 GMC K2500 OBS, crew cab - 6ft bed. My buddy said I should slam it and bore it out like you just described 🤣 obviously my body style isn't desirable for this shit. My baby is lifted 6 inches and sits on 22's. 325/55/R22. He knows a lot about engines but I agree 12.5 or 13 :1 compression is real high for a street engine, 10.5 to 11.0 would be more realistic.

0:14 there’s something big blocks have that makes them better than every LS/LT engine thick cylinder blocks and thick cylinder sleeves this means these boat anchors can achieve displacement that no LS engine could ever achieve numbers up to 572 ci or 9.4 liters and that’s displacement no LS or LT could ever achieve 👀👀 the ole hemis are even better then deez big block Chevys and can be just as big blocks and make more power 😄

Your understanding of engines is so primitive. It reminds me of when I listen to a stupid Honda kid from highschool talk about engines. No understanding of bore, stroke, cam grinds, combustion chamber sizes, or any of the how to stuff. Btw if you didn’t know this more goes to buying a rotating assembly rated for a certain compression. You have to account for combustion chamber sizes, bore, stroke, deck height down to small things like Head-gasket thickness and then from that point you pick your cam based on your flow rates for your heads and calculated compression. Go back to school dude.
