Episode 1: Going Grey

Love your hair! I decided to go gray when my husband became ill about 15 months ago. He passed away a year ago. I didn’t bleach my hair out, I just grew it out and had about three inches cut off every three months. It’s a little longer than yours except has more layers. It’s all virgin hair now an I love it. I still have a lot of dark hair underneath. Love my hair and proud to be grey!!

You are beautiful. I have decided not to dye my hair any longer, I love the grey and white hair I am seeing on women and men. I have very long, black hair so not sure how long it will take, but am looking forward to this new adventure. My Dad and brother were both totally grey by the age of 30, I'm 64 and my grey is slowly coming in.

Grey hair is a great canvas for wearing colorful clothes or lipstick. Because of the ashy silver look on my head iam experimenting with colours somewhere else. This is fun. I also make compliments to other women with great silver hair and ask for their advise.

Silver Strands, I like red as lipstick colour and for clothes different hues of blue because of my blue eyes. I love more saturated colors know, no pastels.

Great video! Very encouraging! I am having a full highlight and then not coloring the roots. I’ve had highlights before and they don’t damage my hair that much. I guess I won’t do it a second time after your experience. Thanks for sharing!

Hello I am late to the party, enforced COViD 4 month grow out and I have realised my natural colour is white, so I have an appointment to discuss with my hairdresser full head foils to try to make my grow out a little less visible, thank you for all your tips I live in Suffolk in the UK but Amazon seems to have a lot of your recommendations I have been treating my hair to olaplex products to get my hair ready for bleach, I hope my hair looks as good as yours in a couple of years!! Fingers crossed I’m very nervous!!

Just found your channel! Your hair color is beautiful! I am going into my 9 month of transition. I have high and low lighted my hair for years! So my color that’s left is a pale blonde with some streaks of light brown. I went through the bleach out process some years ago to have the gray color on my hair ....no problems at all! No breakage! which I should have stayed with.. lol I had short hair at the time. But I love my light blonde and dark so I went back.. ugh! Now like all of us just so tired of spending the money to hide the natural gray that I decided I’m doing this! My downside now is my hair is long... midway down my back... longest my hair has EVER been..don’t want to cut it... but so afraid if I do the bleach .. on my color parts this time it’s going to force me to go short! 🙏🏻 Thanks for sharing your story with us!

Dianne Dare, I know this hair thing can be so challenging!One of my friends was inspired by my grey and decided to give it a go too. She has decided that she is only going to highlife and not bleach her entire head of hair. If only I would have not done my second heavy highlight, I think I would have been much happier. So i would say don’t ruin your hair. My hair being ruined was the hardest part for me because I usually have healthy manageable hair. The friend I just mentioned is wearing her hair up in messy buns and rocking it! Seems that Hollywood does that with super dark roots and completely bleached ends....that is not much better of a look than us Silver foxes letting our sparkles shine (In my opinion)! Don’t give up!

Your hair is beautiful. I went to my natural color, looks a lot like yours, I dyed it back brown after 18 months. I loved my white hair. People made such horrible comments. Maybe it did look ridiculous. I loved it. I cried when my stylist put color back on. I am 59. People at church commented on my hair being ugly. Maybe some people don't look good with white hair.

Um ... what was the secret the lady from Disney world shared with you, LOL? Maybe you will add that to the next video. Your hair is lovely. It looks so healthy and natural. I have olive skin, brown eyes and hair with some random gray, but I am developing a silver streak on the left side of my part. I heard heating tools are one of the causes of silver hair turning yellow. But for me, as a woman with naturally curly fuzzy hair, I will always need my flat iron. It is my hair's best friend.💞 I'm looking forward to learning those tips about how you avoid the yellowing.😎

Stand, Hi There, I did share the secret from the gal at Disneyland. It’s Keune color Ultimate Blonde spray. It’s purple spray that you spray onto wet hair for a quick freshen up. I love that you have a white streak (lucky you)! I completely understand the flat iron because I could not ever give up my hairdryer😎 because mine is wavy/frizzy too. I rarely curl but when I do, I use lower temperatures than I would when my hair was brown to help from scorching it. Sounds like you’ve got it down. I am two months without coloring my hair, and am not sure I will be able to continue. Thought about having it bleached out, but after your experience I don’t think I will. Right now I can hide the gray at my part with Clairol powder root cover. The gray is getting longer, so how long will I be able to cover it. I’m getting weak!
