Fascinating. As he's speaking I'm thinking of all the self righteousness in Berkeley in contrast to the reality in housing and wealth. I also wonder about my hometown, Livermore. My mom once described it as a haven for people who wanted something more "normal" after the 60s. What does that actually mean, though?
