Some absolutely beutiful scenery and fish in this episode Dan. I have to admit to despising the rain, bit you and Rich braved it and reaped tje rewards! Fair play

Cheers Carl. We honestly weren't expecting that weather. The forecast was mostly fog. But I think being in the actual cloud meant the forecast was off. Still a great day

Great Video and session Dan. Used to fish there a lot some years back. Beautiful place, especially in decent weather 👍

Thanks Paul. It was my first time up there and definitely want to go back in better weather

Great video that was some soggy conditions but actually good conditios to fish in some nice fish with beautiful markings

Thank you. Those soggy conditions weren't forecast either. The fish didn't seem to mind though. Gorgeous fish up there

Great footage of a thoroughly enjoyable day, must go again soon, on a slightly drier day preferably 😅

Thanks mate. A session to remember for a few reasons haha. I'd happily go uo there again. But a nice dry 14° day preferably. Never want to be the wet again. EVER!

Wow - that looks like the best fun! What great fighters for such tiddlers. Gotta be a few large specimens in that dam too. Beautiful fish beautifully filmed!

Thanks. Certainly was enjoyable! I've heard there are big ones in there. But I'd happily have the little ones all day long.

Channel nearly completed! Love these videos, the way you edit them is great! I've been LRF quite a few times recently and blanked every time but finally caught yesterday, a nice Whiting so my 2024 species hunt is now of the mark at one! I was using an SG3 SS hook, bit of Gulp red worm on a drop-shot rig (stolen idea from a certain channel!) off a pier, was so chuffed to be off the mark. Hopefully many more to come. Looking forward to the next video 🎣😁 I popped into my local tackle shop yesterday and asked if anyone else goes LRFing around here (North Norfolk) and he asked me what LRF was, oh dear!

I really enjoyed watching that video, it's such a special place to fish and you had some lovely marked brownies. Hats off to you both for fishing in such poor conditions. Worth it though 👍

I'm surprised they allow spinning gear all I see on places is fly fishing only nice vid 👍🎣
@LRFandHRF7 ай бұрын
Its one of the few spots you can spin. Well worth a walk up there.

Great video mate. Fished it once many years ago. Do you still need just a rod licence to fish there and is it just spinners?
@LRFandHRF7 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yeah you do need a rod licence and it's fly or lures from what I've been told. Don't forget to Subscribe. Plenty more trout action to come

Cracking video, although not sure I would have braved that weather!!! I notice you stuck with the trout spoon, do you like hard plugs at all for them pls?
@LRFandHRF7 ай бұрын
Thanks. It was far too windy for plugs that day but I do use them. Have a look at the trout videos on this playlist. Caught quiet a few from the river on plugs. kzbin.info/aero/PLCrdza055FOJMPRXsRyiAIarAt3i5NAls&si=mh-cC_AHWYS7WM6b

Many thanks I will check them out. My default lure is a mepps, but, would like to branch out and try plugs,, maybe even soft plastics.
@LRFandHRF7 ай бұрын
If caught plenty on rapala and amg lures plugs. I think anything that is erratic will trigger a bite from a trout.
