Nobody to verify but it may have been stock day as the pool was crowded with rainbow trout which were happy to chase and strike spoons, minnows, flies and mini-jigs.

Was this by the bridge or by Fraser flat campground?

This footage was just upstream of the 108 bridge in Strawberry not Fraser flat campground - however, I did well over there too

What's the reason for wetting your hands before handling the fish?
@noskunkadventures50352 жыл бұрын
Less of the protective slime on the fish is taken off when you wet your hands first. From first hand knowledge, I believe this. In the past when I just picked up the fish you definitely had to wide off the slime on your pants or whatever. When you wet your hands, you can just give your hands a quick rinse in the water to remove the slime.

In addition pinching the barbs makes them easier to release and the fish have less damage to their soft mouths. Also keep them in the water if possible when realeasing.
