Sweet Pene - I fell down the depression hole and have not been letting myself keep up with your channel even though it would have cheered me. Things are getting better so I am catching up. I watched the last couple and just loved seeing you and all your doings again. The little piece for the MousealongMakealong is charming. I hope you win the trip to Istanbul, or the fluffy ball of wool (even better). Pete has my sympathy facing the dental work. I am a huge baby when I have to go. It's embarrassing but I go to pieces (inside my head mostly). Won't comment about the weather but it is a worry. I agree about charity shops being a disappointment. We do have a very enjoyable one here in our town but I am dismayed about some of the things they throw away. I go every day as it is a block from my home. The manager gives me things - yarn, sewing notions, and wool fabrics. The first place I check is the box of books bound for the recycling. I am not sure why they get rid of so many lovely ones. I have a lot of terrific books just out of that box. I got a stack of "coffee table" books about Ireland one day - just beautiful! I want to go to Ireland but of course must content myself with the books. I just listened to Agatha Christie's Poirot in the audio book "The Blue Train" while I crocheted a cat bed. So good and read by Hugh Fraser who was Hastings on the series I believe, on the TV. Heather's poem was terrific. She has an alter ego in that Poetry Pixie. And of course, seeing you three girls in your crocheted hair nets brought tears to my eyes. I don't know how you find the strength to share you lovely mom and not weep. I suppose it is because she would not want you to feel anything but joy when you think of her. I am going to buck up and get back to watching your channel right away with each episode. You really are a gift for all your subbies. All the best to you and yours, Kris

I remember the episode with your Mum, Heather and the curlers. How I laughed. I so enjoyed seeing your mum again. She could pop in your episodes more often and I would be all the glad of it. I absolutely love the little mice embroidery. Can you show us how you transferred the picture onto fabric. Did you use a light box?

In episode 104 I show you how I did it for my great grandson's quilt label. That will help you. I will show you next episode again though. I did use a light box to help trace it onto the DMC paper. It's episode 104 under a simple quilt. xx

Sorry that you missed the sewing afternoon in London, but it was fun to share with you the completion of your beautiful Brambly Hedge Mice and hear Heather’s poem. The Roller Girls is also a favorite clip of mine with such sweet memories. Thanks for providing me with a bit of a sewing afternoon - such a treat! ❤ Just a note about my helical socks - I am only using two yarns at a time, the solid and one of the patterning yarns. When I run out of the first patterning yarn, I will begin the second. Having more than two colors at a time seemed too confusing and I just wanted to make my first attempt as easy on the brain as possible. Ha!
