I am very excited for you being able to live much closer to your families. My husband’s job has taken him all over the place, putting us anywhere from 6 to 22 hours away from our family. I’m very thankful for 80 and 85 miles an hour on some of the interstate highways and airplanes - especially now that it’s just the two of us. I’m sure you’re looking forward to experiencing four distinct seasons again. Thank you so much for all you do to help make my crafting experience easier and enjoyable.

Hairspray works great to get ink out of fabric. Put a cloth on the inside of the bag to prevent the ink bleeding. Spay small amounts and scrub fabric with a soft toothbrush. Rinse with water or dab with a damp cloth. Repeat until the stain is gone. Good luck with the house hunting! Your going to love Ohio!

Just got my progress keeper from your shop. I love it!! So excited for you and your family and your upcoming move. I moved from Bullhead City, Az to Oregon 11 years ago. I love having all 4 seasons. Unfortunately, the fires are pretty bad, with so much loss. However, the weather forecast is calling for rain beginning next week. Praise God. I love your channel. I just learned to knit this past December and oh my goodness, I'm hooked. Have purchased several of your patterns and just love them. Keep up the beautiful and creative work.❤❤❤❤

Here's a tip for the ink stains, you can use the Awesome! spray cleaner on your knits and project bags to get rid of them. I bought a handmade Aran Cardigan from Ireland from the thrift store that had a major ink stain. It came right out with this spray. Bought my spray from the dollar tree. Hope this helps. You just dab the stain with a paper towel and it comes right out. You can use water to rinse out if needed too. May need to be done twice or left on longer before dabbing.

I like to keep small mechanical pencils in my knitting bags. They are about the size of a golf pencil. I got them on Amazon. They fit in an Altoid tin with a fold up pair of scissors, stitch markers, small nail file, darning needle, and some spare yarn or size 3 crochet thread to use as a lifeline. I glued a piece of magnet sheet to the inside lid. The needle and metal stitch markers attach to it nicely. I have made several of these up to keep in different projects bags.

It’s been a busy work here with 12+ hour work days that have exhausted me so all I’ve managed knit this week has been a sock cuff! Thank goodness it’s Friday night here now and I’ve finally started the leg. My mother-in-law gave me hint for taking ink stains out of fabric - a very old trick from her days as a night nurse and had many “ink accidents” with her uniforms. Take the ink stain and spray it generously with hair spray and then just wash with laundry soap. (I have never used hair spray for my hair - just for ink stains - and I often just “spot wash” the stain out with a bit of laundry soap. Good luck. Thanks for the episode and good luck with the move. I use a mechanical pencil & a small notebook in my bag. Like that I can erase if I note something & change things. I’ve also started to try the knit companion app-which I find is great. Just have to figure out if I can sync it with all my devices so when I go out I can use my phone rather than my iPad. Tech mental block for this grandma-although I’m quite proud of my attempts to learn & try new things-tech-wise.
