I like how inclusive and accessible your meal ideas and prep are. Usually I do like cooking, but recently it just felt more like a chore to me. I have two weeks off currently in which I have more energy to cook, but I know that once work starts again, I need to find easier ways to prepare balanced meals. If you're up to it, I'd be super interested in a series about quick and easy meals that keep your glucose levels steady, as I have PCOS and insulin resistance. :)

I'm better now, but when I was going through chronic migraine, I ate whatever my mother brought me, and a lot of pop tarts lol. I love salad, this is so low effort and something I could have done sitting in a dark room. Nutrients are so important to recovering, but also tend to be an unexpected bottleneck. Thanks for sharing these tips.

The worst part about the veggie chopper is cleaning it tho 😭 have one lying around but never use it cause i prefer to just clean my knife and cutting board
@ffnrew8 ай бұрын
when she chopped the avocado, I thought "that will be hardwork to clean it" - I prefer cutting board & knife for the same reason as you do! Plus the cutting routine feels meditative for me
@roddo19558 ай бұрын
There are choppers that are less complicated. A simple twoblade rotator with a container. You pop your onion or whatever in it, push the button. It goes 'wirrrrrrrr' and boom: one perfectly cubed onion. No cutting board. Take out the blade empty the container, two items to wash up. Done. Very cheap, too.

Same. I've found that most of my hesitation with cooking meals for myself was the dread of dealing with all the dirty gadgets that came with it. A good knife and cutting board is not only easier to clean, but is hella faster. I'd go mad carefully positioning each piece of lettuce and veggie 😅.

If you have a dish washer, you can chuck it into the top part. But you can shake it in soapy water and rinse.

@roddo1955 Thank you! Yes, I go to therapy plus take medication. Also got the help with an ADHD coach. I started college in my late 30s. I'm going for Psychology and Sexual Science with an emphasis in ADHD. I want to be a Sex Coach and an ADHD coach. I'm already working in both fields and finishing school. All 3 of my kids have ADHD as well. Because ADHD is hereditary. I'm 46, now and my kids are 24, 25, and 26. I wanted my kids to have access to the tools and resources that I never had. I didn't want them to feel broken and alone. I realized you live the life that you believe in, and I started believing in myself first every day. Then little by little. My house is still cluttered, but No where near what it used to be. There's a great channel on KZbin called : "How to ADHD" is an incredible resource.
