Hi Sarah! I just wanted to say that I love how you have used every bit of that fabric for Cameron's quilt and you are sticking to your values and not buying more! Isn't that how quilting started in the first place? Using up what was available and turning it into something useful and beautiful. Besides, the unique not perfectly matched bits will add to the "made by my auntie" quality and the overall wabi sabi. Thanks for another inspiring episode. Bravo!

"made by my Auntie" ;) The wonderful thing as you say is sticking to that spirit of quilting and knowing Cam will cherish this piece regardless of it's quirkiness!

Your naming “…more of a skills journey…” struck a chord with me. Those times when I have completed the “interesting part” of a project and then noticed my engagement diminish with a project may indeed be related to my focus on building skill-set rather than having “the thing itself”. Curious about others’ experiences along those paths. Thank you for sharing your creative insights and explorations, and resultingly beautiful work.

You could add leather ends to your belt to make it useable for you if you think it is too small and you don’t want it laced up
