Isn't it lovely when there are knitworthy people in your family? I love knitting for my grandchildren: sweaters and mittens.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful outdoor adventures you’re both doing with your niece and nephew. They’re learning so much from you and will fondly hold onto the memories of these days. I made a quilt for my grandson when he was 5, but you’re inspiring me to make him another one where he can weigh in on color choices and design now that he’s 7. BTW, I have the same Featherweight as you do and, although I have a fancy new machine, my preference is always to sew on my Featherweight. It was my mom’s which makes it all the more special. Take care and thanks so much for sharing and inspiring.

Thank you Esther. Yes, my featherweight has really carved out a place in the piecing line-up. It was my grandmother's so it also holds a vast amount of sentiment. Have fun with your grandson, I like it when they can comment and offer their style preferences...unless of course it's all neons and pink ;)

You’ve got an exciting variety of projects to work on. Having just finished a quilt top and hoping to get it ready for hand-quilting very soon, my planning is now turning back to knitting. I’m making a pair of socks for a friend, and have completed a cowl but have yet to settle on a sweater project that I can sink my teeth into. Thank you again for taking the time to share so much with us. Enjoy your vacation from school.

I so enjoyed watching this episode. Your completed sweater for your niece is beautiful. The quilting and weaving are interesting to see. I quilted years ago and appreciate seeing your work. The starching is something I hadn't heard about; it makes perfect sense. My ears tuned in when you mentioned your friend Nicole. If it's who I'm thinking of, I hope she's doing well. Happy crafting!

The baby quilt is going to be so sweet! When you mentioned about using the spray starch for a gift, I was wondering if you will pre wash the quilt before you gift/ use it or doesn’t it make a difference in any way as far as being next to skin? Your enthusiasm is very contagious so now I’m off to make a pot of soup, a loaf of blueberry bread and crochet. ♥️

I sure did wash it! Like four times ;) But that was because of the chalk incident. I would've washed and dried it once prior o gifting though.

Ha, I can see I am not the only one who plans a month’s worth of projects for a week’s vacation 😂! Hope the ice holds/is thick enough for your family to enjoy ice fishing. I love your muffins-is the dark color from cocoa powder?? I have a book of 20+ muffin recipes, and I feel some experimentation coming on…be well Sarah and enjoy your break!

I think the dark colors must come from the dark brown sugar and the flax meal. But adding cocoa might be a fun experiment too!

Just love watching your videos. I was going to tell you that there is a weaver Kelly Marshall in Minnesota. I took a bobbin lace class from her. You might be interested in her weaving book. She teaches classes. Wonderful woman ❤
