Hello! The fabric you are holding up for a needle booklet is called Aida cloth and it is used for counted cross stitching, but it will make a wonderful needle holder AND it's often used to create pages for a stitch sample booklet--it comes in many sized squares (the number indicates how many squares will fit lengthwise within one inch--AND, if you like to do counted cross stitch, you can buy the same type of grid but in what's called tear awaywaste cloth or water soluble canvas (by DMC). You lay it on top of the right side of the fabric you intend to stitch on (like a sweatshirt), cross stitch your pattern, then when you are completely finished, you soak the item in water. When the threads have softened, you use tweezers and pull out all of the horizontal threads first and then pull out all of the vertical threads and you're left with just the stitched image on your fabric (when I create such a sweatshirt, I always iron a very lightweight piece of interface over the threads on the backside of the fabric--that will keep them from ever coming loose when you launder the item and it also presents a smooth, soft texture to the wearer's skin. As to dropped needles---I don't know what type of stores you have available to you or what online purchasing you might have access to, but here where I live (USA) at most of the hardware stores you can buy inexpensive telescoping magnet tools. My husband bought one for me when I was sewing. I leave it compressed and stick the top magnet to the metal base of my work table. If I drop a needle--or any metal object (or now that I create handmade cards using dies) I just grab it, extend the handle and wave it over the floor and the metal object sticks to it. They even have them with what's called an anvil head--sort of like a small push broom sort of tool. You could glide it over hardwood floors and the long magnet head will draw pins, needles, metal beads--anything metal--out of the grooves between floor board. I will put two links here--one to show the small head telescoping handle version and one to show the anvil telescoping head version. Although you probably don't have these stores available to you, if you took photos of the images on your cell phone and took it to your local hardware store, they could probably find the equivalent tool there (or maybe you could buy one from Amazon). Here's the telescoping anvil head I found at our local hardware store (Home Depot--I could not find it on Amazon): www.homedepot.com/p/Anvil-Telescopic-Magnetic-Pick-Up-Tool-95212/300998736#overlay and here's the small head telescoping tool--this link is to Amazon: www.amazon.com/SE-8036TM-NEW-Telescoping-Magnetic-Capacity/dp/B000RB3XBA?th=1 You could slide the Anvil head tool over hardwood floors, carpets, linoleum, etc. (just slide it gently and slowly). I hope this helps!

10 books published. I’m so enjoying this KAL even though I’m a few days behind (still!). Really enjoying each day’s reveal. I would never have thought to use the knitting needle as a draw pull. You’ll never cease to amaze me. We’re having an unusually cold and windy day here on the Coast so perfect for knitting. Thanks Arne and Carlos!

I am so enjoying knitting along with you, this being my very first Christmas stocking that I will have made. I didn't before because I had no confidence in myself where colourwork is concerned (it was a self-esteem issue), but watching older videos and getting guidance from those my confidence grew exponentially. So thanks to the two of you, I now want to try anything and everything, with the self- assurance that if I make a mistake it'll not be the end of the world. I can always frog and begin again, no biggie😊😊. All in all, the two of you have published 13 books.

10 books! Thanks again for your free pattern. I know it's too late for this year... but I would prefer to watch you talking and holding things up rather than watching Arne knit the stocking. The reveal is enough. ❤

Love this knit along! It's keeping me more focused. As I'm better handling my mother's diagnoses of dementia and on hospice now. Now I'm completing day 8. Carlos, you are fabulous supporting Arne's recycled, repurpose projects. Lucky, both of you! I'm not good in math but I'm still going with 9 published books.

I lost and earring about a year ago and luckily kept the odd one for reference because I couldn’t find anything similar like it anywhere, even online; then literally last weekend I pulled out a pair or jeans to wear and the earring fell out of the turn up I had left slightly folded!
