Multilingual, speaks a little bit of Pashto at least, quite a shooter already on coming to that unit, senior at time of raid, obviously intelligent. Add to that he is extremely devout and private family man, seems like someone who everyone knows would never speak up or seek fame. Probably won’t know for a very long time, but if I had to make an educated guess, I’d think it was him. One strike against it, he said himself on Ritland podcast that all people he shot were pretty far away. I don’t see him lying, so makes me think he wasn’t the dude. Also maybe there is no Red, the unit is Red, so they decided the whole unit takes credit. 🤷♂️

That story about when Bill called for PC assist is actually quite meaningful for those who know. I believe the reason Bill kept saying you saved my life is that it was the first time Andy ever shot someone, it was a 13 year old kid, he fell down the stairs and Andy had to finish him Infront of his mom, that was the day they were talking about. Andy still thinks about the kid often. So i believe Bill was trying to make it easier for Andy.
@keithnash88992 жыл бұрын
Wow. Where does he talk about this? I’ve never heard him tell the story in detail.
@leelotungal8192 жыл бұрын
@@keithnash8899In his podcast with Mike. It clearly still bothers him, he said he sees that kid often and sometimes in his own kids. What happened is the kid was running up with an unloaded gun to protect his father who was sleeping on the roof and yelling for help, the mother followed after the kid. Andy saw the gun and did the only thing he could've, the kid fell down the stairs and started rocking back and forth clearly suffering and Andy fired 3 more shots to end his pain. He then spent the next 30 minutes holding that position while the kids mother was wailing in agony next to him. It's super heavy stuff and it's pretty obvious Bill being the modest good Christian he is was trying to make Andy feel better by saying he saved his life.
