Glad born as a Japanese, as it's very complicated to learn, as well as to teach. The video comes to the rescue of those who are interested in Japanese. At the same time, helpful for those who would like to teach it to foreign nation friends. Sensei knows well a thing or two there. Great!

Is 行けませんでした more natural than 行けなかった? Thanks! I followed well this grammar lesson despite without any visuals. 🙏

Use 行けなかった for informal situations where casual language is appropriate. Use 行けませんでした for formal situations where polite language is required. Among friends, family, or peers, 行けなかった is more commonly used and sounds more natural. When speaking to your boss, a customer, or someone you respect, 行けませんでした is appropriate.

@@MasaSenseia good question & an excellent answer. Why? Because it shows uniqueness & difficulty of conversation in Japanese. Slight adjustments are required on occasions. Sensei pointed it out there.
