Gaveau was one of the most famous French piano makers with Pleyel and Erard. Never put a piano next to a radiator, the variation in temperature and humidity ruins it irretrievably. Espiaccially an old piano with a wooden frame.

I never saw a cover for piano keys it is beautiful . I would leave it open all the time just look at it, also I never saw handles on a piano. It,s a treasure.

Gaveau. Pretty well-known and reputable French piano manufacturer, mid-19th century. Maybe you can learn, Suzie. Never too late, if you can find a teacher.

On your Lavender: Real Lavender (Lavande in French) only grows good at altitudes above 1000m - the hybrid Lavender (Lavandin in French) from above 400m. Could be difficult in your area. In addition, the soil should be limestone.

Lavender likes well drained soil with grit in it and you need to clip it back after flowering or it becomes leggy .

Thanks for the advice, I left the flowers on as long as possible this year, as they stick out and stop the dogs getting to close, I have actually trimmed them back now 🤞

@@chateaucitadelleducavalier my advice is still to cut them back when the flowers after they have flowered gives the new shoots time to harden off before winter and don’t cut back into the brown wood .

The piano is gorgeous. The key cover is just beautiful! ❤❤ They are expensive to tune. After the first tune, you have to let it sit and then the tuner comes out and tunes it again. Just absolutely gorgeous! ❤ Think of how many songs have been constructed since the inception of the piano! How blessed you are to have it! And you look absolutely blooming and well! I have, as with others, been praying for your health. 🙏🏼❤️

People love pianos but most houses can’t accommodate them but yours does perfectly! I can see the candelabras lit and people standing around singing at Christmas❤.

I love the furniture. So nice Rob and Suzie past is on to you. The lavender needs a good prune, otherwise it gets leggie and woodie and it helps to grow the plant bigger and bussier after a good prune.
