Excellent video, packed full of little secrets to fixing these cars. I own a 1976 with the same seats. If you want to repair them, I have found a supplier that carries the cloth for the inserts. I purchased some new seat covers from BMW in about 1982 for the front bottoms and rear back. Unfortunately, the other covers were not available. The easiest alternative for you is to go to a vinyl covering. These covers are easily sourced. By the way, the original BMW front seats had horse hair cushions under the coverings. These cushions are what give the structure to the bolsters on the sides of the seats.

The cigarette window dial has a small hole on the back side. Feel around with a pick and you can push out from the back side rather than mar up the front.

That 2002 once it is finished is going to look like a brand new car again, and please get the Jean's of the back seat, it will look nice either in leather, or the crushed velvet material I think they also use,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

Hey, learned how to remove the door cards thanks to your video! Curious since you seem pretty knowledgable. Can I transfer my 73 driveshaft, and other components underneath to my 75 shell?
