I recently saw another youtuber who said he got a better reading on the garmin from wearing it higher on the wrist, he loosened the strap off slightly and pushed it a little further up his forearm. Might be worth a try to see if it improves? Really enjoying the content as a non runner looking to get back into running after many years, keep up the good work.

You can obvs check cadence lock from graphs but can also try to improve your data quality by moving the watch up on your forearm. Polar also has arm straps and you can catch their older ones on sale

Watched til the end and good to hear you're happy with the Coros. Also very sad to hear about your experience by the canal. As I woman living in a relatively safe country (Finland) all the harassing women get elsewhere is baffling. I wouldn't go on a run without my phone, but it's more because I'm clumsy and something might happen. Also got a VO2max bump by 1 last week now that I've been following the daily suggested workouts for a bit. Haven't had that happen pretty much ever 😅

I live in a relatively safe small town too, everyone knows everyone but you hear so many terrible things on the news about women going for a run and not making it home again, so I’m just so cautious. So happy to hear about your VO2 Max going up!!!

I've just got the Coros Heart Rate arm strap and I can highly recommend it 👍

I’m loving it! So comfortable and seems much more steady/accurate on easy runs!

Garmin have got a specialist HRM for woman (HRM Fit( that attaches to your bra instead of a band. How accurate it is I've no idea, but I know a runner who prefers it. The problem of arms is that it's more affected by movement and shocks, which is one of the reasons for data drop outs. I use a HRM chest strap for my mountain biking, but it gives me far more info than I need but I have used it for swimming.

IT is so hard to get Garmin to register sprints as sprints. Heart rate just doesn't rise and fall like the graph says.

So true! As long as you know you sprinted, you just have to accept it 😆

I started out using pace, but found that that allowed way too much variety of pace....so inswitched to HR which i found better....if you start to spike i walk....simple as that. Enjoying the videos. 😃

Thank you for the lovely feedback! Yeah, I'm sticking to heart rate and not being afraid to walk for 30 seconds to get it back down again if I get HR drift! I just need to slow down really 🙃
