This is the best dock shooting video I've seen. Step by step instructions with the "live" examples to back it up. Thank you Matt!

Matt, do you find that some docks consistently hold fish while others do not - all other conditions (temp, depth, etc….) being equal? Also, you scanned for fish and saw them so that is pretty clear. Do you ever “screen” areas by looking for bait first, even before you side scan for fish? Thanks, Greg

Greg some will hold docks and some won’t. Docks which hold fish will consistently hold fish most of the time. I don’t look for bait. The fish are on docks mostly for cover,

If you were having a hard time shooting your jig under the dock (say it was your first time) could you throw a slip bobber with jig to the edge and possible have success?

Ok, Matt what is plan B? I went out this morning and expected to find fish on docks in Clear Creek, Tellico. Water temp was 62. Cloudy skies. On the water at 8. I fished several docks and caught one bluegill. Side-scanned a bunch more. Depths ranged from 5 - 20’. Found nothing. What is plan B and when do I go to it? Greg

Episode 2 and I am learning good stuff. I did not know about Navionics…I must look up more. I understand shooting docks better too….always tried to skip bait under docks, but shooting seems much easier. Thanks much! 🎣

That’s whacky - never heard of ppl not being able to fish docks due to a law/regulation! That’s insane and is 💯 wrong for any state to allow that BS… glad you are doing this series. Thanks

I agree, unfortunately there are several lakes in Tennessee that are like that. Fortunately, we have plenty of brush piles and creeks/coves that hold Crappie as well!
