I love the rich history of the Citadelle, Rols & Suzie. It just smacks me up the side of my head with it's importance & mystery! I'm imagining how it will appear in a few years time! I know the interior & exterior will be stunning & a place of pride for yourselves & the community. The chicken house/coop will be a happy home for the new inhabitants & will be in keeping with the other buildings! Lucky chickens!! Blessings you pair, as well as Max, Baxter, Lexie, Benji & Fleur. thank you for another informative episode. I really like that roofing system you are using with the cement sheet then putting on the traditional tile roofing system. Double the water proofing should save you time having to redo the job within your lifetime of living there. Good information and strategies. Planting that tree of hope or tree of life is positivity. Planning for a long and healthy future. A legacy project for the future.

So glad you’re holding steady Susie. ♥️ You both got a lot done despite the weather. An idea for the passthrough (feel free not to use) - build stone piers rather than a wall. That way, it’s less work but (since the beam isn’t rotten) plenty study, and there are niches between them that could be used either for a place to put garden-related treasures too old to handle lots of weather, or to store things which are used on both sides of the passage (could add doors at some point, if you want them out of view).

My comment is regarding retarding moss, mildew growth on roofing: we had a business venture manufacturing copper shingle rooff ridge toppers for ceder shake shingle roofs. The osmosis or oxyidation something detered the moss.
