John mentioned how he doesnt necessarily believe in giving an exact percentage in tithing. Isnt that an explicit teaching in Leviticus? I believe God judges our heart but in a sense of how we give. I think he still expects us to give our first fruits (10 %) Would love to hear what you think!

We in the new testament church don't follow the levitical law. Jesus fulfilled the law. We do follow moral law tho like the 10 commandments. Giving in the new testament is found in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

@@Theelockerroom @topofthemorningpodcast_ I don't think the tithing part really applies to us there. But you are correct when you said that God looks at our heart and sees the motive in which we give. I have heard it said also that giving could also be giving your time to serve in any aspect, helping the needy, helping in church. What matters is if you're doing it out of love and that's what God sees. (If anyone wants to correct me, please do so, this is what I understood from my studying. )
