SO many fun projects and so much gorgeous yarn. I wouldn't know which to cast on first! I THINK I finished up the knitting for Christmas I planned but.....like you, I always manage to think of one more thing that I want to make for someone. This year is no different. I need better plans. :)
@shellygrimsley7809Ай бұрын
You absolutely should keep that gorgeous Musselburgh. You are giving me the itch to cast one on. And the yarn for those socks 😍😍 by leap of faith. Perfect cast on for the week of Christmas. Is there a better time for a themed sock along with some joyful morning bible reading and/or prayer leading up to Christmas?? Though I can’t wait to see them knit up!
@HappyCraftyHomemakerАй бұрын
I really need to get to making some baby blankets for my stash. I think I am down to 2 in my "gift closet". This year has been so crazy, I also decided to not do Vlogmas. I don't really edit, but the smashing together does really take up a lot of time! I love walking and knitting/crocheting. I am so glad that you also walk on the treadmill! The Doctor Who Scarf is a MASSIVE project! I made one many years ago!
@RachelKurtz-w1sАй бұрын
Always love seeing your socks. The Christmas one I adore. Great pattern and yarn. And the yarn for your Musselburgh is gorgeous! I am really glad you have chosen to forgo vlogmas in favor of having more time for family. As a mother and grandmother those kids come of age and they are off! I love the spouses and the grandchildren so much. But it’s not like having them under your roof. Just enjoy your family. These times are precious.

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m just finishing up God in the woods. Right now, I am elbow deep in Christmas knits. To my utter joy most of my nieces want hats. I love it! My goal is to give 50 hats or more to charity so I’m gonna be hat knitting like crazy. Have a wonderful holiday season.

That is awesome!!! Just keep knitting, just keep knitting! 🧶 👏🏻 I’m going to get some laundry done and the house decorated today but other than that I’m just going to be knitting away hopefully! 😆 so much to knit, so little time. 😂

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. Loved the blanket for the hospital…such a wonderful act of kindness. One of my favorite things is making for those who you will never meet but you can bring them joy and comfort❤. You should take time to enjoy your family and relax, you work hard all year to provide joy to all of us.

I made a Dr.Who scarf for a good friend one Christmas! They wanted the original colors and did not put in the request for the scarf until Thanksgiving that year! They wanted the long version and I had to pull the needles to wrap it for Christmas and finished it on New Years Day!!! Looking at Eric's scarf in progress brings back memories!

Great chat. As always. You are such a blessing. There’s been a lot of chatter on facebook about the intimidating start to the Musselburgh hat so I will share this episode over there for those struggling. As well as saving for myself because I really want to start one too. I feel like I had something else to chime in about but it’s still early, I’m cold and I’m trying not to just crawl back into bed. Finished Gusset Island as I call it on hubs first sock so I really should be finishing those lol. God bless and have a wonderful weekend.

So much fun to watch this today. Enjoy those kiddos. I was supposed to have everyone but the oldest here this weekend, but things changed, so I only have two, no spouses, no grandbaby. It is different. Still wonderful, so there are great things ahead for you too. And thanks to you, I have two pairs of socks in progress, working on the second sock of each pair. I couldn't imagine having more than one pair going at a time.

I don’t blame you. Life is way too short to spend any of it overwhelmed…yet we always put ourselves in such a place. It takes a conscious effort to really drop what isn’t necessary to enjoy the things in life that do make us happy and content. Bye Vlogmas. Do you. ❤

I got the Polka Dot creek for the second year because well Elf. Next year I am going to do Leap of Faith. Soak up every minute with your boys because now your time is really short and it’ll be back to just the two of you and the dogs. Which leaves more time for knitting. I am always impressed with how many projects you finish in a week. I did finish a rainbow ripple blanket for my newest grandson and my sons musselburgh hat. I just have stew the Oreos on the blanket because his brother named him Oreo when she was pregnant. He would get pretty upset if you called him by the name they selected.

I’m so glad you’re taking time for family this December because life does change. I hope you wait to post the yarn so we can see it in color because black and white wouldn’t show us the yarn. A question about color change when knitting socks, I want to be sure I got it right. With self striping yarn, at every color change you knit one round? Right? I always thought you only did that between the cuff and the leg. I hope you have a blessed December with your family.
