The right way to remove the plastic fasteners is to push the middle pin inside just a little - few milimeters - and they'll loosen up. Thanks for the video!

Droopy headlights can also be caused by faulty headlight position sensor. IF your lights are functioning normally, but you get an error message, then the problem could be that sensor. the sensor itself regulates height of the headlights, if you feel they look down into the ground then its worth inspecting.

Excellent job! I hope I never have to do this job, but if I do, I have the info now. Thanks 👍

I have droopy headlights on my 2004 Volvo XC70 with Bi-Xenon lights. I replaced the ballasts as you recommended. The problem did not go away.

Droop problem is not caused by ballast. It's either the load sensor or the adjustment motor. If both lights droop, it's the sensor or wiring.

@@timhoward8313 That our they may require a SUM calibration. You'll have to do this with the VIDA software and DICE interface cable.

and if there is no SUM in the car the xenon calibration is in REM or CEM

I have droopy headlights on my 2004 Volvo XC70 with Bi-Xenon lights. I replaced the ballasts as you recommended. The problem did not go away. I'm now wondering if I replace the motor part number 8678121 if that will fix the problem. The part costs $159.00 each, but paying someone to remove the number cost me $200. I'm now into the repair $200 number removal plus $222.00 for the new ballasts. UGH

2 things , 1 you dont need to stupid music and 2 the top clips which are used a lot on volvos are removed depressing the centre pin in , it will click and then can be removed by hand , very simple , once you have them out you push the pin back up so the centre is up protuding , then the clip can be pushed back and the centre pin clicked back so it is flush

Rust and water in the ballast unit. Hmm, I wonder why this headlight wasn’t working.

You found the most annoying music possible, and shoehorned it into a few 10 second slots in the video. Why did you do that? Here is a thought. Silence.
