പക്ഷെ പഴയ കാലത്തെ ഓണക്കാ ലങ്ങൾ താങ്കളുടെ സിനിമയിലൂടെ എന്നെപ്പോലുള്ള പെണ്ണുങ്ങൾക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ച റോയൽ ഫീൽ... സിനിമ പ്രാന്തായി നടന്ന എന്നെ പോലുള്ളവർക്ക് ലഭിച്ച അന്നത്തെ ത്രില്ല്.. പ്രീഡിഗ്രി കാലത്തെ ഒരു വിഷുവിനാണ് "കാര്യം നിസ്സാരം" കണ്ടത്. അതിൽ ഒരു വിഷു ക്കണി പാട്ട് വരെ വെച്ച് അത്ഭുത പെടുത്തിയത് ഒട്ടൊന്നുമല്ലാട്ടോ... കിളിയെ (ഒരു പൈങ്കിളി യെ) കൊണ്ടൊരും പറയാത്തൊരു കഥ പറയും എന്ന് പരസ്യം ചെയ്ത "പൈങ്കിളി കഥ "ഒരു ഓണ സീസണിലും ആണ് കണ്ടത്. ഓർമ്മ ശരിയെങ്കിൽ എറണാകുളം കവിതയിൽ. ആ ദിവസംതന്നെ ഷോ കാണുവാൻ താങ്കളും (വേണു നാഗവള്ളി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നോ? )ശാന്തി കൃഷ്ണ കുടുംബവും വന്നിരുന്നെന്നാണ് ചരിത്രം.

After school, we used to come to the Outhouse (converted to police station) of the Tara Hotel(now SUT hospital, Pattom) and watch the shooting. You had donned a police inspector's character. As a kid, I was impressed by your confidence and commanding power at the sets.

Film Maker Mr. Balachandra Menon appearing before the viewers looking stylish, , clad in an an attractive attire speaks before the viewers his earlier days experience in Kodambakam , the film city near Chennai, as he landed there as the " Nana" film weekly journalist and during those struggling days , he had the opportunity to get personally in touch with many people connected with films in the like of Actors, Directors, Music directors, Lyricists and while having Interactions with them he learned step by step the basic ideas behind the art of film making , their reel-life problems, their experiences in the field and this indeed had influenced the journalist Menon to get an intimacy and leaning towards the film field that saw Menon taking the shape of a film maker in the later part of his life. Indeed , his Kodambakkam days were eventful that has taught him many lessons , and those experiences has turned out to be a blessing for Mr. Menon , who later on became a famous film personality that Malayalam cinema has witnessed.
