I must say an Adventurous Family 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 June -July this year 2019 we travelled from Bangalore, Srinagar, Kargil, Leh, Ladakh, Khardungla, Pangong, Rohtang, Manali, Bangalore with 2 Friends by VW Polo. Great content sir !! A small query , do diesel vehicles need any special equipment / maintenance for smooth operation in sub zero temperatures . I am planning a similar trip , and would be grateful for this piece of advice .

We didn't have to do anything special. Just go to service center and explain your usage scenario and they are the best person to advice you. That's what we did.

Amitesh CanHelp I don't want to share the exact amount as its somewhat personal, but take 4500 kms, 15 days on road. Use this as a rough yardstick. Hotels contribute to most expense and it will vary from person to person.
