Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.

Stupid decisions like that, to appeal to the masses, just ruins art, and makes people dumber. The same thing with The Matrix, when they changed it to people being used as batteries, when the original script, was their brains being used for their processing power, like computers. That made a lot more sense, and would have made the movie even better, but some asshole forced that change, and now it's permanent.

@@observingrogue7652 I never knew that.. that does seem like a better plot.. as I can't help but think that the amount of energy a human body puts out is much less than what it would consume to keep itself alive.. @@observingrogue7652 But people are stupid and don't realise. His suggestions were also pretty lame. Showing an engine warning light or a temp dial going into the red would be the least exciting thing to see and people would probably ignore it. They could have just said "danger to engine" to be fair.

Ive been a huge fan of this car for as long as I can remember. I knew a guy that was big in the import car scene back in the early 2000's and he had one of the original roof scoops made for these cars. (The paper work says there were only 10 made) This part now sits on a shelf in my shop, amazing piece of automotive history.

This is so bad lmfao I here ya man. Lol !!! Yeah if you watch the movie he only shifts gear 41 times with 41 turbo blow offs and 10 nitro shots at the starting line and then dont forget the random metal plate flying off the car where Dom sits after the race and the blown pistons still holding compression without rings??????? Whatever tho they used and non turbo charged car that has no turbo even installed on it but the engine had a blow off valve zip tied to the cold air intake piping lmao its gets better also like though all of those switches that didnt do anything and many more that have been listed throughout this interview omg how cheesy balls is this movie now that we are all much older now and see the reality of it all now and the way the movie industry is just as good as the media is in hiding the truth!!!!!!! Craig, thank you for finally setting this straight, been saying it for years...why? Because my best friend and I (rest his soul) met John at a car show down here in San Diego. I recall it having a PlayStation in it since my friend got to talking with John for like over 40 minutes and allowed for him to cross over the rope and fully check it out. He mentioned about being approached for an up and coming film and was planning on ‘meeting’ with folks in the near future about it. Fast forward about a year or so and our group- SoCal DSM was told about extras being needed for a street racing film called “Redline”. I couldn’t make the trip that day for racewars, but my friend did. Several members of our group did go and their cars made a few appearances in the film. Unfortunately the tape that I had filmed that day at the car show was non playable after 20 plus years, was one of the few recording I had of my Bro, but the memories and the movies help🤙🤘 Oh- and yes I did see the blown up eclipse in Vegas.

I had seen this car when I was growing up and several years later, when I turned 16, I found a 95 Eclipse GS. I was so excited to own the same car as Brian! Of course I believed a lot of what I saw in the movie and mistook the Eclipse in the movie as the awd GSX model. I was bummed because by the early to mid 2000s it was very hard to find a good condition 2nd Gen. Eclipse and damn near impossible to find a good condition GSX version. Most were riced out or at least not to the specs/ style I wanted. I loved the car because it came across as attainable, reliable (kinda), and had a slew of parts available for it. The Eclipse is still one of my all time favorite tuner cars.

I personally owned for 4 years a near mint 99 eclipse gs. It looked bone stock minus the typical exhaust and a dark matte grey paint job when i sold it. I had built the block with forged rods and pistons held together with arp head studs and a felpro permatorque head gasket. Bolted on a cheap "god speed/rev9" turbo and manifold. Had a buddy weld me up a down pipe that was fabbed from a cheap 4-1 header(used the downpipe part to clear oil pan and run to my resonated test pipe). Ran mustang GT injectors(believe from a 96) and a 10:1 FMU. Used a cheap AEM wideband and cheap boost gauge to keep an eye on the "important" stuff. Wheels were stock 17inch gsx rims. Inside was all nearly flawless leather black on black. In the hatch was the typical sub and amps built into the floor. Was a fun project that i really liked however my wife hated the car from day 1 and the time i spent working on it made her hate it more. I ended up selling it and buying a mk6 GTi. Wish i never did.

To be fair I leaned out hard in a 93 TSI and fried the rings. I drove it like that for 2 weeks (maybe more) until I picked up a replacement engine. It still drove okay and pulled hard on boost, it just would blow the dipstick out and spray oil if I ran it too hard. Its perfectly believable that Brian drove away and outran the cops after the race.

Sparco seats and detachable wheel. 20 inch trims. Hok Candy orange paint. 3 15 I'll inch JL audio subs. 4 old crossfire amps that are no longer available. Owning the car brings back nostalgic memories but I'm too embarrassed to drive the thing now lol.

Ive been to the Las Vegas one, very surreal,i love how the wheels were still in tact,i wanted to buy them,i actually have a video of that museum on my channel if anyone wants to check it out, i also fell guilty into owning one of those 50+ replicas lol, before i was finished with mine i also got interviewed by Mighty Car Mods when they went to Vegas in 2013,the video can be found both in my channel and also in MCMtv2,later that year when i was finally done with the replica i heard the sad news of Paul Walkers passing,on the next day i tied a black lace on the rear antenna and drove all around Vegas where i was getting thumbs up and compliments on the car and where ever i parked i got people wanting to take pictures of it, later in 2013 towards the end i was asked to represent Paul Walker in a Memorial Cruise wich can also be found in my channel, the last 2 events i showed up with my replica were at a Car Meet in Vegas and also attended Import Face Off in Las Vegas Nevada,These Movies have really been a big part of my life growing up,specially in my love for cars,I love anything Fast and The Furious, and i hope everyone enjoys my videos as well. It appears no one noticed or pointed out on the list of Brian's eclipse, it has it listed as 2.0L 1997 cubic inch !!!!! That is roughly the displacement of "5" Chevy 350s combined!!. Some type I know. Should be 1997 cubic centimeters. But I found it to tickle my tummy. Thanks for all the real info though Craig. Much appreciated.

I agree. There's a lot of things you can't find on that car. The APR mounts that have the slanted looking inserts you can't find anymore. Obviously the Axis wheels discontinued. Foliatec doesn't make the pedals anymore which I think sucks. I also think the shift knob was a Sparco, but Craig says otherwise. There's some that you can still buy. The carbon fiber mirrors I thought were interesting. The passenger side one was angled in a way compared to the driver's side which was more F1 like. I had an obsession with the switches in the center console and the green eclipse really did look like a space ship. Man, during the bush administration before 2007 watching this movie over and over and replaying it over and over was all I did in high school lol The fuel management system was something I was also interested in. The thing that plays on the Alpine system. Sucks tuning cars isn't the same anymore.
