I have owned Jaguars for about 20 years. This is my 7th car and is just the best one yet. After 7 months it still makes me feel very happy to be behind the steering wheel. The range is ok for most days in the UK. Longer journrys are getting easier as the charging networks are being rolled out.

Thanks for watching and for the feedback! Personal experiences from owners are always the most valuable info that one can get. The real deal! I agree and yes the range is good for vast majority and as in the UK, more and more regions are ramping up with more fast-chargers!

@@TheRocky3211 much cheaper per mile for fuel. Much faster 0 to 60. Much quieter. More legroom for rear passengers. More people stopping me to ask questions about the car. Much more convenient to refuel at home. I Can have a full range at the start of everyday. Cheaper to drive into large cities as is exempt from congestion charges. The list goes on and on. Main negative is on long journeys of 200+ miles or on holidays. Parts of the UK have few ccs chargers. But this is changing every week.

Good video and appreciate your review on this entry to a BEV from Jaguar. Hope they are a success. Would like to see some night views of the instruments and heads up display when navigating. Found it interesting in the shot with it next to your Leaf since they appear close in height so made me wonder about other comparisons between the two since the price is so different. You already know I'm a big Tesla fan but we both agree it's going to take several different EV brands and models to electrify the world's transportation.

Thanks for another great review Ken, it's really a beautiful vehicle. I-Paces seem to be quite rare in Canada, I've only seen one here occasionally at a charging station in a nice dark grey metallic, but I wasn't able to speak with the owner. Tesla gets a lot of credit and attention for the performance of their vehicles, but their relative efficiency and ability to drive further with a similar or smaller sized battery pack is quite an achievement also. I expect other brands will improve over time, their electric journey has really just begun! Hope you're having a great time at Fully Charged Live. I'm really looking forward to some news from the event, this seems to be an incredible year for EVs and sustainable energy options. Kudos to Jaguar for this vehicle, and for developing conversion kits for some of their classic models, keeping them on the road for many more years of clean driving.

@@EVRevolutionAgreed but Im from the US and we sadly still have places with significant electric production from non green sources like coal. So the more efficient a BEV is the less non green electric is needs during rapid charging...OFC there more green options for home charging... So I agree it's still a great BEV option for those that can afford it and thx for the review...

I wish my Model 3 had a hatch back trunk. 1. Is there a 'hold steering' warning rather than chime? That could be annoying 2. Are any chargers integrated with the vehicle? Or you have to use your phone for 3rd party ones? 3. How is the sound quality compared to the Model 3 upgrade? 4. How is the frunk? It looks smaller than the model 3? Is it worth it having a frunk at all? Is there any LTE cellular for OTA updates? Great review on the IPace. I'm glad jaguar has taken a step towards electrification and it should only get better from here from an efficiency standpoint.

Thanks for watching as always Ayo! 1. I just experienced the chime. 2. I'm not sure what you are asking, but Jag Canada may offer a partnership with providers. I am not aware of any. Yes, and app is available for similar features like most EVs. 3. I would say superior. Really had to listen for noice, beyond tire/road contact and a fake engine/spaceship noise it makes when you stomp on the accelerator. I've not been in a relatively newer Model 3 so I can't give an exact comparison. 4. Yes it is smaller than the M3. A small handbag/gymbag/backpack is what will fit. Yes, I still think the trunk is a great option. 5. Yes it has built it cell for OTA's. I tried to run the update but the systems were already at current rev.

I like what Jaguar build here. It is exactly what I would like, an AWD hatchback. Too bad, I cannot afford it. I wish would have shown your recharging experience during your road trip and focus a bit more on reel range. When considering an EV, this is something people are worried about. I also wonder why you are going so slowly on the 401. It is dangerous; you will get rear ended by big truck going 120 (the real speed limit).

Hello Serge, thanks for watching and appreciate the comments. I commented on my charging experience briefly and showed a chart which had stats. The Jag display does not indicate how much power it pulls, so I could only put in my times and SoC levels. You should be able to extrapolate more info out of that. As far as speed, most of my driving was on 80km HWY 7 road. Some on the 407, none on the 401. A bit on the 115. As far as my speed, I was driving in conservative mode with plenty of lanes and room around me for traffic to pass. I've been driving for over 40 years and know how to drive with traffic flow. The 407 is a multi-lane road and generally wide-open in mid-days so I can be safe by driving the speed limit or close to it.

I want to like this car so bad but the pricing is ridiculously high. They don't even give you those nice rims your demo is equipped with. That's an upgrade. I don't know. It's also not as efficient as a Tesla or a Kia. I just have an issue with the price. We walked away.

It is, but it is the brand, quality and workmanship that is worth the price - if one can afford it!

@ 4:40 - Odd that the i-pace is sensitive to overpasses. Tesla has had similar issues. Maybe in the software? Did they clone Tesla's ;-)

When I go through tunnels with repeating lights, the Tesla runs the windshield wipers. Hate that bug as I'm always scared the windshield will get scratched from being dirty and dry.

Roy Wessbecher, they make leather cases for iPhones. Only a vegan would see a problem with using genuine leather on a luxury car. Tesla should offer it instead of force customers to go to an upholstery shop to make their car a luxury vehicle.

Well, Jaguar and LR are looking to full electrification of their products in the shorter future, so let's see if they can stay around long enough to make that happen. Indicators are there, I-Pace is JLR's single best selling model I think now, at least in many markets it sells in.
