Episode 69 - Replace a Mast Boot

In this episode, we deal with a leaky mast boot that has been allowing water to drip down our mast and into our main salon. We'll show you how we did our mast boot replacement and take you step by step through this process.

You are most welcome! Now that we have left the doc, hopefully we will be producing videos other than fixing a boat although, we are finding as we do see trials, that we are still fixing a boat, all be it in "exotic" (at least varied) locations.

Sikaflex 221 but.... We found that 3M's 4200 is a far better product!

Thanks for the video. I'm about to replace mine with this product but my mast is unstepped. I have to step my mast every year. Do you have any extra tips or anything you would do differently?

We trimmed the wooden wedges (not shown in video) that help position the mast. Having two people help was a big bonus. Having a caulk solvent nearby would help with messy fingers!

We used the Petit Trinidad HD. Loving it after one season with no hard growth!
