Welcome to another video on my Knit 365 KZbin channel - thanks for dropping by.
In today’s video I share some of the new colours and patterns in the ‪@WestYorkshireSpinners‬ Bo Peep range and show progress on my latest cast-on.
This is not a sponsored video, but the yarn and patterns were gifted.
I love West Yorkshire Spinners, especially the Bo Peep range which is perfect for little people projects. You can find out more about West Yorkshire Spinners on their website, and Instagram:

* / westyorkshirespinners
I would thoroughly recommend this yarn and you can find your nearest stockist here:

You melt my heart with your Grandpa’s clip! How wonderful and sweet. ❤ And the his and his jumpers… awe! Love your shows. I save them for when there will be less interruptions and just enjoy. Thank you so much!

Thanks for another great video. Sarah Hatton was in Ottawa recently and I was lucky enough to take part in a workshop with her. She was terrific!

What a blessing to the knitting and crochet community when your Nan anointed you as your grandfather’s successor. ❤ I love that you have some of his notions to carry on the tradition, and it brought tears to my eyes seeing you using that stitch-holding pin on a project for one of his great grandchildren.

Hi Martyn, I gave up knitting when my mum died, we did it together and I just didn't want to do it. Before I saw your podcasts I did myself a couple of winter jumpers out of acrylic yarn but that was all. Since watching you I have now got 15 projects (knitting) and a few crochet projects on the go at the same time. I have tried different yarns and I want to thank you. You are a great inspiration and you have helped me to get better with my crafts and to try new things. I would love to try the bopeep yarn but unfortunately I don't have any young ones. I look forward to seeing loads more of your podcasts and you and Mark, of course. I do miss the sock dancing 😊 ❤

I love WYS yarn especially Bo Peep. It is my go to for all baby knits as it’s so soft and the colours are adorable. I used them for my Sweetshop blanket too. Their new colour palette is beautiful - I can’t wait to plan out a new cast on with them 😍

ROFLOL! Yarning Ham as though I'm some kind of American~!!! Too funny. Oh both of those choices are lovely and the drape of the fabric is perfect! Well done Martyn. I also love that you keep your grandfather's memory alive through the use of his skills and even notions now and then. Fabulous heritage to pass down - and may the knitted items survive multiple generations too. Happy Monday.

I’m a great fan of WYS especially their signature sock yarn which is a great hard wearing yarn. Will have to try Bo-peep for the next baby knit. Love that you are using your Grandads knitting notions. Such a special thing to do!

I ❤WYS. My stash has a lot of WYS wool in it. I use it a lot in a range of projects. I have some Bo Peep ready in a project bag for a winter jumper for my greatnephew.

Hi Martyn, I do love WYS yarn. I've not used Bo Peep, but I have used quite a lot of their 4ply yarns. Can't wait to see the projects grow. I've got a finished wip! Made Mum as carpet for her 93rd Birthday this coming Sunday. No pattern just made it up as I went. Stayed up till about two watching the election. Basically until it was obvious who had won. Have a great week and enjoy. Yarning Ham 😂😂, Yarningham. Remember, it doesn't matter how long yarn lives in your stash as long as you love it when you buy it! xxJane 🐑🌼

You could do a row of firm single crochet under the collar of the bubble cardigan. That would stabilize the collar and make it much less loose and floppy. You will like the fit much better.

If you want “major UNCLE points” Taylor has a very simple double crochet dress. Sooooo sample you could do it in a weekend! No pattern needed. Just look at the picture. Both niece one and two would flip out.

Thank you Martyn for an honest review of what looks to be very lovely yarn. You have talked about West Yorkshire Spinners glowingly multiple times on your channel. Trust isn’t something that comes easily for many of us….thanks for being authentic and truthful! Also toddlers jumpers are considerably smaller than adults (😉) I think you’ll finish in good time….especially if your motivation continues. Look forward to seeing your progress. PS are you doing the Westknits Secret Sock along that starts July 9th?

I love the safety pin stitch holders. Not so much the bent wire holders as they can sometimes catch, or the bend is just awkward. I have quite a few vintage safety pin stitch holders in various sizes. Occasionally I see the common size that you have on your project but the long ones I don't see any more and haven't for a very long time. I have often wondered why the inferior bent wire stitch holders are still sold but the good ones among the safety pin types are no longer seen.

Hi Martyn. Another great podcast, thank you. I always give a thumbs up, enjoy every episode, but this time felt I had to comment. My nan taught me to knit and passed away several years ago now. I have her old needles etc and always use her old stitch holders, just like yours. Would never replace them. My niece has just had twin girls so I've knitted several things for them, making a point of using my nans needles to do so - she would have been their great great nan. My ears pricked up when you mentioned your 'Bampi'? All of us grandkids always used to call my grandad Bampi too!!! Your grandad would be proud of the knitter you've become just like I know my nan would be 😊

Question about the Bo Peep yarn. Do you find that it blocks as well as 100% wool? ~Brenda P.S. feel free to answer even if you’re not Martyn!

As an American, let me just say, we know, we’re sorry, we’re embarrassed for ourselves, and many of us would happily recolonize/rejoin the British Empire, and I don’t know why we wrecked your language.
