The "red pill" was originally meant to signify the realization that men are at more of a disadvantage than women. We are constantly told by people/media on the left that empowering women is paramount and encouraged by the right to give women special treatment like chivalry. Certain men, who were usually getting abused/ripped off, had the bombshell realization that preferential treatment of women in areas like higher education or hiring women would not benefit men. The "Red Pill guys" you want to take notice were not necessarily wrong about inequity, it's just that the majority of these guys are dumb enough to fall for Neil Strauss/Andrew Tate's bullshit, because they are constantly told that everything is their fault and they need to lift themselves up by their bootstraps. If "Red Pill guys" are being fooled by pickup scams, then you can easily draw a comparison between that and the lies they grew up believing, which (illogically) validates the original point of taking the "red pill."

I think the acceptance of this red pill bs is less about the dating market and more about environment. I grew up in a low income area where these stereotypes around women are very strong (including my own house) and all of the boys/men would adhere to this regardless of “success with women”, many still do to this day as adults and they will reinforce it with their children. The incel angle is certainly becoming more of an issue but at least in the USA I see this as a product of environmental factors, constantly reinforced now via endless online agit-prop 😪

A note on the 4th of July celebration in the US : I live in an incredibly diverse immigrant community (specifically in my neighborhood) in north Texas near Dallas. My neighbors do an illegal firework display so extravagant people come from the surrounding neighborhoods to watch . The police / fire department know it’s such an important thing to my apartment complex and the surrounding neighborhood they send someone to supervise the event instead of shutting it down 🤣.

Camping down by the river on some LSD we had car-fulls of fireworks, half from some sketchy dude's trunk. Several rounds of them blew off beautifully, then we set up a huge one that was store-bought-official, a whole show in a box built to go from one fuse to the next. The first firework shot out of it nicely. The second one came out at an angle straight at us. The third one flipped the box and sent it flying into a big brush pile from recent flooding, where it started throwing them in every which direction, it was like a warzone, shells going off all over the place, I got hit by several stars, it lasted like 5 minutes. It was awesome.
