Yeah, cutlery. I bought mine at a dollar store. Not as pretty as the ones at home, but they work. :) And toilet paper! You don't need expensive, fancy RV TP, any rated for septic tanks will do, as they break down. Bedding from home will do. You don't need fancy sleeping bags unless you're cold and your heater can't keep up. Most RVs have furnaces, but a small electric heater is good for where you're plugged in and for boondocking (free camping) a little propane heater works and can even be plumbed into your RVs system. They take a lot less propane than a big heater, if you only need a room warmed up. Happy travels. Jon in rural BC, Canada

Thanks for the tips Jon. We have also found that simply boiling a kettle can warm up inside quite efficiently 🙂

Great vid guys. We’re not there yet, but I’ve seen a lot of people doing a set up check list to start with & eventually it becomes second nature.

Thanks Pauline. Oh, we have a checklist ... just got to remember to check it! LOL :)

Hi my name is Greg & my wife's name is Debbie and we travel around with Charlie our toy poodle. Have just come across your youtube channel, and I totally agree by learning from other people. And thanking them and even promoting their channel on your own channel. When appropriate. Ours Channel is called ( dirty socks greg Buck ). I personally have not much to do with computers so I'm still learning, just got to sort more email stuff out but I'll get there. Anyway we enjoy your videos , and we catch up over the coming weeks. Life has thrown Debbie and myself a bit of a curveball so I'm pulling videos from the archives just to get us by but we'll be back on the road soon. We could be looking to buy a motorhome and that's how we found your channel. All the best and hope to catch up one day, cheers Greg, Debbie & Charlie.🧦🧦

Great feedback and advice ❤ Interested to know the cost benefits of buying an RV vs staying in cabins?

Hi Again guys, just wondering if in a future episode you could go through in more detail the setup you have for off grid living as we are also interested in that type of setup. You also mentioned that you have stabilizers at the rear of "Maude" and i was wondering if you got them as an option with Jayco as currently they do not have an option for them and they do come standard in the larger rigs. Thanks.

Hi guys, thanks for reaching out and giving us video ideas - very much appreciated. We've got a few ideas for our next videos which will include off grid living. Stay tuned :) So far we've done 8 straight days off grid which included four days of rain/cloudy days. Maude is front wheel drive (not sure if that makes a difference), and so we have 2 stock standard stabilisers at the rear of the motorhome that we have to manually wind down. I was looking at the Redfoot Levelling System but since we've worked out the chocking set up and putting wood under the stabiliser feet, we're not going to invest in it. The Optimum Motorhome has the Redfoot levelling System as a standard feature. What motorhome do you have?
@road_2_nowhere Жыл бұрын
We have on order a Jayco MS24-4 which we will get next year, so a long wait until then. The Redfoot system is good a bit expensive for what i would need it for and that is help with any side to side movement as the twin wheels at the rear are recessed. Just gathering as much information in readiness to get out there again. Cheers.😃

Yes we found that we like to stay a week in most places and only put out awning when we stay 2 weeks or more. Weve been travelling for 4 months now.
@passynby Жыл бұрын
I think once we start travelling full-time we'll be staying at places for longer periods of time too. 😃 4 months ... woo hoo! Enjoy!

Hit the nail on the head with length of video, 20 odd minutes is about my attention span if I see one the is 40 min I generally bypass it
