Every Menzinger song takes me back to my younger years for some reason. They're music is an automatic nostalgia trigger, resulting in emotional memories of the people I've left behind.

It's so wild. I got to see them play In Manchester shortly before lockdown, and then I was singing along to them whilst driving from Cromer to Hunstanton, just this weekend. Both situations for my birthday. Life is fucking wild, weird and kinda coincidental. Still -- I fucking love this band.

To echo someone else’s comment on here, I had a prescription opiate problem and didn’t die, I instead ended up in jail bc of it. My life was completely destroyed and to make matters worse, during that time I totally missed The Menzingers (and I’m from fkn South Philly 😂). That’s the beauty about music. You can find it at any point in your life. The Menzingers and Dave Hause spoke to 36yr old adult-me when 36yr old kid-me, needed it most. Punk rock did this for me when I was 14, again when I was 36 and it’s still doing it today at 45.

been listening to this song on repeat since its release. lost love, lost youth, and memories etched in still photographs plastered to your "grownup fridge" set to the tune of an angsty punk ballad... oh, the years... where did they go? i just love everything about this song. can't wait for the new album. also liked the mention of "On the Road," my all time fave book.

First time I heard Menzingers was in London in 2015, as they were opening for The Offspring in Brixton Academy, and I got totally blown away by their stage presence, especially the bald ginger glass wearign guitar guy, we was just getting crazy. Went through some of their stuff, and instantly fell in love with them. But this last studio release, is a real masterpiece, especially the first song Tellin Lies, then this one, and Charlie's Army, Lookers, and plenty of others, I can just listen to them over and over again, they are thsoe kind of "feel good" songs. Great band.

@@mrsd8401 Man, 2 years passed, they released Hello Exile last year in october. I have no words, Menzingers are just awesome. Oh yea, Alkaline Trio as well, shame that Matt kind of moves more towards Blink 182. I liked Blink 182, but I feel that they try too hard to stay the "cool teenage skate kids from the 90s", while they are in their 40s, nearly 50s. Not really good, last album was a flop.
@mrsd84014 жыл бұрын
I know, mate, I have "Hello Exile". My favourite song on it is "I Can't Stop Drinking". I also have "After The Party". They just get better and better, to be honest. Agreed. I'd rather Matt just focused on Trio from a selfish point of view. I don't like the modern Blink stuff at all. Still, when Trio do put out records, they still boss it, as "Is This Cursed?" proves. But yeah, spot on, mate

@Thisanawadee Cook love it. Menzingers were my last concert on 15th of February 2020, just couple of weeks before the first Lockdown, they played in O2 Kentish Town in London, thanks to them I discovered another awesome band - Spanish Love Songs, they opened for Menzingers, and they rocked. Now, after over 2 years, I am going on another concert in Roundhouse in London on 8th of October, and guess who :D The Menzingers :D Cant wait.
