Henry did a good analysis here. Well done King 👑 All the modern coaches, including Guardiola, Arteta, Klopp etc are constantly modifying their tactics in-game, before a match, before a season and always actually. The changes might be quite small but could be significant. Arteta, from last season, has decided to be conservative, especially in the early part of the season. He hardly commits many men inside the box in transition. He will flip that in the second part of the season (the fluidity of the attacking play will be displayed). Conservativeness, lack of quality play on the left side of Arsenal and preventing end of season collapse (which happened in 22/23 season). He probably learned from Arsenal's perennial collapse under Arsene Wenger in the post-invincible era.

The players don't take responsibility with the ball at their feet. Being brave isnt just being strong in the tackle. Its having the confidence to attempt passes or to shoot, too drop a shoulder and go past a man. Artera got them constantly recycling the ball playing narrow because he has no width with fullbacks coming inside condensing the pitch. He's petrified of losing possession incase the opposition hurt us. When we lose it ge has everyman behind the ball. He leaves nobody in advanced positions ready to counter attack. This is where Artera tactics fall away. Its good to be compact & resolute, but if its not aligned with your attacking prowess in terms of flair, pace, fluidity, clinical finishing then you fall short. I don't think Arteta knows how to play any another way. His signings are abysmal. Havertz, Zinchenko, Jesus, Kiwior, Merino, Vieira cost 230 million. The chance creation thing is well overblown and I think reasons for. Arsenal have played top 10 from last season, most of them away, then some of them with 10 men. I would expect that graph to go up. And this predictable thing is nonsense. Salah is predictible but can you stop him, no. You know he will cut inside and shoot, same as saka or henry. A few clips showing a player didn't take on his man doesn't mean anything. Arsenal are not a direct team like Liverpool. Like city they creep forward and use the defenders as mids and carve open, the attack is slower so players get in certain positions. Yes Martinelli final action is frustrating, but I think the slower attack is by design. Defence used as an attack is Arsenals biggest issue, as they need the defenders to build and create from deep and create overloads. Having half of the defense out, particularly the full backs has screwed the build up.

Mikel Arteta has no plan B when it comes to tactics and the stubbornness to not buy a decent natural striker might ultimately cause his downfall. 5 years half a billion spent yet nothing to show for. Slot on the other hand is yet to buy his own players (unlike Guardiola who likes to offload players and spend billions), all players love to play for him similar to Klopp and he has reenergised talents like Diaz, Salah, Elliot, Gakpo,.. amazing job!! Coming from an Arsenal fan 👏

Someone that doesn't know tactics would say MA has no other tactics to use. MA has used uncountable number of tactics since he took over Arsenal, you just don't know what tactics are. Secondly buying players ARE NOT the responsibility of managers alone anymore. Wenger even said it. It was possible in the past but no longer now. There is the sporting director for starters, there is the budget of the club and there is FFP. FYI Arsenal were genuinely interested in Gyo, and even some point Ademola. Talking about stubbornness as if you know him personally, smh.

Mate, multiple things can be true at the same time. we've been utterly predictable in attack for a while - its delusion to suggest otherwise. the issue is that when it happens to work, or we score early forcing teams to chase, then it doesn't matter, we're a more dominant team so even predictable we can create problems. But it becomes a problem when teams sit back and dig their heels in - this was a problem in the early part of last season as well. The one or two high scoring games do not change the facts that we're an extremely one-sided team that depend heavily on our right and also on Saka and the predictability means people like Everton put three men on him sometimes, because they know they don't have to pay attention to the left. The reason it feels like a crisis is because the manager and hte players keep talking about wanting to win the league and how much it hurt last season, we've also said the problem is man city. Fast forward to now, man city have dropped off significantly and we've almost already thrown away our chance. its a mountain to climb

There seems to be considerable pressure placed on the manager and players, which may not be entirely warranted. There is a prevailing agenda that seems to be impacting the situation, especially with a club legend involved. It's important to recognize that the context has shifted; the mentality of today's players differs from that of previous eras, and the financial capabilities of opposing teams have also evolved significantly. Therefore, it would be beneficial to give Arteta the support and understanding he deserves as he navigates these challenges.

leave our coach alone Nonsense the man is good.do u know how many unfair red cards we had this season. U want him sacked then they bring a person who will make us finish outside top 4. Just leave our coach alone

Sack arteta and hire Henry

Thierry is an Arsenal legend but he’s been given opportunities to coach teams and he failed. Mikel is a better coach and we’re better team today than we’ve been for over a decade.

Predictable is the perfect word, Opposition teams just overload saka and odegards side and arsenal is done. If arteta doesn't win a major trophy this season he should go

Arsenal need a striker coach, Martinelli can ball but he doesn't know how to attack
@jacobalexander4167Күн бұрын
So much conflicting in one sentence, how can Martinelli know how to ball and not know how to attack? Which is it?

Imagine if Martinelli spent a day under Thierry, training on finishing & decision making. We all know Saka is regularly speaking to Titi, taking tips. Dont think Martinelli has that kind of connection with our legends. He should be willing to grow, and Arteta should shoulder some of the blame of making him a rigid system player. Nelli was insanely instinctive when he first came, now he's just a flank hugging defensive winger.

I don't think this is entirely true. There are one or two games we lost largely because of poor officiating. Otherwise we would be tore to tore with Liverpool. However that's not an excuse. But to suggest we are predictable presupposes we are in the relegation group. Let's not forget Arteta had to rebuild this team from scratch and we must be realistic. Arne found a ready gelled Liverpool team. In any case we are almost halfway.

I'm sure Arsenal will go for a new LW this Jan. Martinelli is not just doing it.

Mikel wants to err on the side of caution. Therefore, he has emasculated the team. Let's not lose is the underlying philosophy. I would prefer 'Let's go and win principle instead. Btw, well analysed by the one and only TH14

Arteta shall provoke Thierry but the legendary is on point because if arsenal was having a striker in these three last season's Arsenal would have won like two premier league trophies but it's Arteta's weakness en he will never win any big title in arsenal

I hope that our ridiculous coach (ARTETA) heard this relevant analysis of Thierry Henry!!!

Henry sure has a point here. Not the emotional garbage from AFTV, totally devoid of any analysis
