Great, in-depth review! I would also like to point out the quality of the control buttons. They are neither flimsy nor small as with some other competitors. What is definitely missing is a dedicated USB-C dongle version though. EPOS offers an adapter as an accessory but from an enterprise point of view it is unexpected that there is no USB-C version. The charging stand and the charging cable are both USB-C so why not include the USB-C dongle or and adapter like Poly is doing right now?

Try having the headset only paired to one Bluetooth device and the computer dongle, I had a similar issue with a headset that supported three devices and it sacrificed the microphone while all three devices were simultaneously paired to it.

We ordered several of these for our sales team and they have numerous connectivity issues. We have had one of our sales guys picking up an audio loop from an unknown source. He had only ever connected to his work laptop and there were no applications playing audio yet he kept hearing an audio loop. All these cool features just aren't worth it to me if the headphones keep losing connectivity.

Do you have a noisy environment like an open office causing you not able to focus on your work? If so then go with the ANC it's not going to be the best but it will help cut out some noise it will be worth it if it helps save a few minutes a day for you.

Thanks for the review ! Do tou think the sidetone is working better than Jabra’s ? I am using an Evolve 2 65 and I don’t like it. With no sidetone I can’t ear my own voice and speak naturally even without ANC, and with sidetones it is unstable, the volume of my voice changes and it has a little reverb effect wich is unpleasant… Finally I feel better with my old Epos 160… Should I try the 1060 or the adapt 260 in your opinion as I really need to ear my voice to speak correctly ?

I'm thinking of buying this headset, but I'm not sure if I understand the difference between the headset with anc and without anc. @@HeadsetAdvisor it's the first time I heard about HID headset protocol, I'm on mac and I use safari. I've got bose 700 (2021), jabra evolve 40 MS (2014), and EPOS 1061 ANC (new). I use a lot of Google meet (for NGOs) and when having to call for business related (not calling but being call) they use teams (actually more for one shoot screen share than audio), and sometimes we moved to Zoom or WebEX. I did call myself with Google meet on chrome (As I'm not used to do) and that is a game changer, even the Jabra evolve 40 remote is now working as intended. Google NEVER told us about, you should really make that explicit in your next videos ! Again and again ! ( It's not geyed out on safari as it should, it's missing, no way to know it's missing, google is a mess ).

EPOS 5000 is made more for deskphones and computers the 1000 is computer and mobile devices. The range on 5000 is probably around 200-300 feet distance in reality and 1000 is about 50-70feet.

I ordered the mono version (1030T). I'm having trouble hearing the other person on the call. The volume is too low even when set to highest volume setting. I updated the firmware on the headset and on my iPhone 13 pro but still the volume is low when on call. If I'm listening to media then the volume is normal and can get loud. Hi, I just bought this headset and I am having issues with a 5-7 second delay in incoming sound before I finally hear it in the headset. This is really frustrating because I use IM a lot in my job and because there is this delay in sound, I cannot hear the IM tone when someone messages me. Is there a way to fix this? I also do not hear an incoming call coming in until 5-7 seconds after it has started ringing. I want so badly to love this headset but this is a really big problem for me 😢.

Sorry to be a hazzle but... A few things thing that I think seems a bit unclear. 1. Does the muting with the bar really don't work for teams if I have the UC version? I find that very hard to believe. It is not a mechanical switch turning off the mic? I suspect the teams version is only changing the status in teams to muted, but the actual muting is mechanic and will work? 2. I use teams for work all the time but privately I use signal, whatsapp, apple facetime, google speak, zoom etc. Will the teams version be a problem for other applications or for my phone? The information on Epos site around this is quite bad. What does the teams version actually do, and will it restrict functionality for other applications? 3. What if you run teams through the cloud app and not natively, then it is the browser which controls the head set and not the teams application... 4. If I chose the UC version I can fully install the teams package myself that is preinstalled with the temas version? I want to get this right because I am probably buying a bunch of these for me and my partners... :)

1. Muting still works with UC. 2. Teams version will work but UC is recommended as there could be app complications with the Teams version being used with these other apps you also run. 3. Not fully understanding this question. 4. If you choose the UC version and need some of these extra features, all you'd need to do is to download Epos Connect. To keep it simple, for those who strictly use Teams for their calls/meetings and can't download extra software, then go with the Teams version. Everyone else, like in your case go with the UC version. My Sennheiser 550ii behaves different with the touch functionality. It works better with the native teams client, while I basically cant do anything but answering and hanging up with the touch function on the side. But I don't think it will matter much. The important thing is that the muting works. I work from home and when my kids enter the room, raising the mic bar is done in half a second... So, we will go with the UC version.

I am still using the SDW10 with the D1 adapter and SDW60 with the station and I have the Anker H700 for traveling because of the ANC. I just received my Impact 1000! I compared the Impact 1000 against the Anker H700 because these headsets have pretty much the same features. I paid 55 USD for the Anker and around 290 USD for the Impact 1000. The winner for me is clearly the ANKER H700! Comfort is much better! ANC is completely at a different level. I can put the H700 on and really focus on my work. The Impact 1000 are using ear cushion which make my ears sweat like crazy. The only thing better on the Impact 1000 is the microphone. The noise cancelling of the impact 1000 mic is impeccable. Overall, I am very disappointed with the Epos Impact 1000. The H700 is being delivered with a hard case. The impact 1000 just with a cheap soft case... Not okay for this price point. The SDW10 and SDW60 are still amazing and made for professionals. IMO the impact 1000 is a big step down from the SDWs.

@@grogu360 they aren’t as soft as others but with that we found the audio to be very crisp. We didn’t find our ears sweating, but we have heard the same feedback from some customers where this happens with most headsets worn on their ears vs over the ears. The ANC was also about what we expected but where it really shines is the build quality and microphone sound/mic noise cancellation.

@@HeadsetAdvisor I agree - the mic quality is superb. Also on my SDWs. Too bad the cushions are relatively hard. When I press the ear cups closer to my head the noice canceling gets significantly better.

Cons: It falls down from my head when I look down. The ear is not inside the cup so the outside noise is not suppressed. The top hand band is not having plushy material, so head little paining. Low bass. Very costly. Pros: Best Mic.

. Does this headset support EVS? (or equivalent) It is such a nuisance that headsets restrict the microphone bandwidth to the ancient POTS. Skype, WhatsApp, Teams, mobile phones etc. offer a much better speech quality which we should be able to take advantage of. .

Because some people are forced into using a mac and when they are doing this we then have to carry a dongle for example right now my yealink DAC headest won't work with a adaptor but it works with a dongle and I have tried 5 different adaptors and it didn't work with any of them. It's another thing to worry about and trouble shoot
