Is there anything special you need to do to the backsplash before applying the primer, base, etc. I see your video show the counters and backsplash in one...what about the backsplash that has a gap under it. Should I seal it or remove it?

Hi, I'm having a new kitchen and planning on doing worktops and backsplash in resin.Beenm watching too many of your videos and want to have a go now! I use resin in my art, but for me this will be a big project - and done from a wheelchair as I'm an amoputee - I get used to looking at a lower angle than everyone else, and trying not to dip arms in resin while reaching the back! I'm looking at a larger backsplash, maybe 18 inches or so, not the little one shown here. I won't have issues with it being vertical as i'll resin before installation, but what does concern me is the question of whether the resin is safe to use behind the hob which may get hot? I have an induction hob, so it;ll just be heat from pans, not the actual hob itself.

You mentioned backsplash and I was expecting to see if you can work vertical with this product. But this video was again done on a flat surface. I would like to know if I can do my tile backsplash or old bathroom tile wall with this. Meaning you'd have to work right on the wall, can't lay the wall down flat. Im afraid all the product would run off the wall into a puddle before it can dry. It's pretty runny on a flat surface. My bathroom walls are ugly blue like in the 60"s. How cool to have new marble walls.

you can make another color with that type of counter with back splash with more color I buy my kit example and when I put it in the back splash it was run a lot, thank you very much I'm interested in your product but most counters have bach splash thanks

My counter has that lip at the end so water doesn't run off. How would you recommend getting an even layer of epoxy over the edge so it doesn't pool in the wrong area

We have had numerous customers with the same issue and they had no problem at all. It might be a little thicker in that area but the product flows over the edge extremely well. Thanks

Great stuff guys. I recently tried to coat a backsplash on a very small test counter with your sample kit and I found I couldn't keep the vertical surface well coated? Of note, there was quite a hard edge which in hindsight I probably should have broken with my sander but any thoughts?

Can a Bondo plastic spreader be used instead of the roller and what type of paint brush?

Yes you can use a bondo trowel and we use just regular Home Depot paint brushes.

You apply a very thin coat of epoxy on the backsplash, or ideally, you would coat the backsplash laying it flat, and then applying it as a backsplash once it's coated! In this video these homeowners coated a short backsplash kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZaXiHqhmsx6nLc

You will need to sand down the surface with 80 grit to scuff it up then you can apply our product. Thanks

We do not recommend trying it on the backsplash because it will not turn out as thick as the countertops because of the vertical surface.

I'm using a clear epoxy on counter tops and I'm having problems with vertical fingers and a bulge at the very bottom of my vertical faces on my counter tops. Is there any trick to get these out? Because I can only work it so much until it solidifies and becomes deformed.. then I come back the next day and the fingers are back.. it's driving me insane.

Blacken the Cursed sun Try our Glaze Coat Epoxy. There’s a lot of different grades of epoxy on the market and our Glaze Coat is by far the Best for counters and vertical surfaces

I used a clear glaze coat epoxy on mine and the vertical surfaces still ended up with bulges where it basically drip dried. Would you suggest sanding it down and then refinishing the edges or some other method to fix it? It's pretty bad and very noticeable on mine

I've noticed all the counter tops that you have shown "how to" videos of, have been laminate tops. Can you do one with a tiled counter top with grout lines? Not everyone who desires your product has laminate tops. Hope you consider doing one.

Do we have to take the tile counter off and the tile off that acts as a backsplash in order to do the job?

No you don't, but you need to fill all your grout seams with multi purpose bondo from home depot, then sand it smooth, this will scuff up your tiles also, then wipe it clean with denatured alcohol then you are ready to apply our epoxy. Thanks
