I love all your tutorials. I am seriously a super fan of you. You have made and saved me so much money also, and i'm still super new to this! Completely off topic, but I have very bad anxiety/depression and i'm currently on medication. Tumblers are supposed to be therapeutic for me and it's so much less stressful when I watch ( You have the sweetest, most calming voice ever, super precise and just really down to earth). Not to be a weirdo but I watch your tutorials and I get this super calm feeling over me. Thank you for the tips, saving my sanity lol, and over all just being you. You're such a beautiful person!

Oh...my...goodness. I thank you so, so much for making this video. I am just now in the process of making my very first epoxy glitter tumbler. This has helped me so much! I plan to subscribe here and watch as many of your videos as I can. So much information here. Thank you...thank you!!! And I, too, love your music. I have seen all of these singers at Lifest in Oshkosh, WI over the past 19 years. Actually, Britt Nicole came to our church 10 years ago when we had just finished our new addition (sanctuary) along with Hawk Nelson and Anthem Lights. Again...thanks for all of the info here.

@@MinderellaCreations Oh...I'm getting ready to hop on the treadmill and listen to another one of your videos. I just put the glitter on my tumbler and will let it set for awhile and spray with sealer. Then the scary part...the epoxy! Oh..first a bit of sanding, I think! I live way up here in the UP of Michigan so I can't walk outside yet...still lots of snow...had an ice storm yesterday. I'm so excited to learn from you. I've watched tons of videos on this but this very ONE from you is just soooo good. I have had my spinner for 3 months now!! Just been scared to attempt this. I have lots and lots I plan to make. I have 4 kids...all married. 11 grandkids...5 of whom are married...and 6 great grandkids! This will be my tumbler, being the first one. But I have to make one this week for my 15 year old granddaughter. Then there are 3 others who will be 10, 12 and 14 in the next 3 weeks!!!! These will make such lovely and meaningful Christmas and birthday gifts. Thanks again...You are my hero! :-)

I wish I would have found you BEFORE I got to excited after watching a few video's and wanting to make things. WHAT A MESS I HAVE on my hands, table, new resin pouring cups, etc., etc., etc... I wasted a lot and I'm not so worry about that as I am about trying to figure out how to clean my resin cups, stick covers, etc. Oh and my hands, after I took my gloves off are still a little sticky after washing and washing with alcohol, alcohol sanitizer, Dawn, you name it I've done it at least just on my hands. I just left the rest of the mess on the table. YEAH call me whatever you want, I already have...DUMB is the first one. Ladies, learn from me and watch more video's first. I just wasted a lot of money. UGHhhhhhhhh. Anyway, so glad I found your channel and watching some of your video's are calming me down. Oh my, what BEAUTIFUL Tumblers. Love this video, and watching you mix this made so much sense. And my hands are OK after all the treatments, lol...The lotion worked. Thank you. Thumbs UP! PS. These cups are GORGEOUS. DO you sell these and if you do where can I order some? Thank you. IT will be the next century before I learn to make these. lol but true :) PS. YEAH, these are gorgeous and I would like to buy 1 for me and then some for relatives. BTW, in going through your video's looking for something EASY a old lady could do, I saw your beautiful babies. We've been blessed with 2 step grandsons, that we never consider step. They came to us at ages 6 and 8 and now are 25 and 23. My daughter is went through infertility but quit. Your babies are beautiful! Just had to tell you that. I would to have loved to have a house full of grandkids. We now just fill it up with our great neices and nephews, but some live to far away and we're moving after this horrible virus goes away. We got quarintined sp? as we almost sold our home here to move to the state my husband has his job in. I'm disabled. Now we don't know what is going to happen but we're Christians and I know there is a reason for everything even if we don't understand it. Wisdom does come with age. At least some of it. With me and Resin, NOT SO MUCH! Anyway, Awesome work! blessings~

@@MinderellaCreations Thank you for all the info. I had ONLY gotten my hands clean and just let everything set where it was because I was SO DISGUSTED with myself. Well I woke up this am and the coasters didn't come out as bad as I thought. I just have a little I have to sand off the sides. They aren't as pretty as I wanted but for just using them for now will be fine and it was a GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE, as was watching your tutorial and some others I ended up watching, and should have watched FIRST before I did what I did. The resin left in my new expensive Resin cups just pulled out like butter almost and everything is clean. I did wipe them out with a baby wipe. Honey, I don't mind waiting for one of your tumblers. I would wait to with everything going on. I'm disabled and have lung and heart issues, my lungs are in horrible shape. IN fact my Dr. wanted me to be tested about 3 wks ago but we didn't have any tests then and don't now except if you go into the ER and you have a temp. and then they keep you. SO, we have very few. I got better after 2 rounds of antibiotics and steroids for my lungs, which usually do the trick, so I got lucky or I like to say both BLESSED and lucky! I don't go out, except if it is in the yard. My hubby does everything. IT hurts me not to be able to see my family but if it keeps them safe, then so be it. I'm praying for everyone in the world and especially in our Country for our leaders, etc...They say the Pandemic is going to hit my state really hard in 3 wks and we don't have enough supplies. I don't think anyone does really, except that NYC and CA, WA and now LA are getting them. Our Realtor said last night we may not be able to sell our house for another yr and then he doesn't know if we will get out of it what we need to get a house in the state we're moving to. SO everything is up in the air. All my other crafts are packed and in the POD, which may get unpacked, because I will go nuts if I can't be doing something. Thank you. Stay safe and healthy~Blessings to you and yours! sorry for the novel!

This is the best most informative video ever, I needed a refresher apparently because my cups where getting wavy and bumpy, I think I was applying too much heat gun, What is the best temperature to keep the room, I was keeping mine too hot I think , the epoxy I been using is already very thin, so I think that's why I have been having issues too....epoxy I use is called clear cast 7000 I wanted it because less bubbles since its thin, but I only like it now for final coat because its so thin, I have culture counter now but haven't used it much any suggestions with the new epoxy.....soon I will have 2 gallons of fx premium, so I was glad to see your video you were using it . Thank you so much for your awesome videos , you rock

Counter Culture is my favorite! It’s thick and smooth as butter. Stirring slowly is important and don’t whip it. Room temp is fine. Some make sure the individual parts are warm prior to mixing.

Good afternoon. My daughter and I are working on cups and we have a turner but it seems as if some of the cups have this thick epoxy coating but only on the bottom. How can we fix it? Everything else comes out pretty smooth. Thanks in advance for your assistance
@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 6 жыл бұрын
Tyiwon Gaiter That generally means your turner isn’t level causing it to pool at the bottom. Fix your turner and your cups should come out smooth. For cups already like that, use a dremel sander and sand those thick spots out and add another coat of epoxy.

@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 5 жыл бұрын
An embossing gun is what I started with...a heat gun or torch is better though with more direct heat. What about the epoxy yellowing? All epoxy will yellow over time. Some have better UV protection and will not yellow as quickly or as much.

@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 6 жыл бұрын
It's setting up faster than you're working or you're applying too much heat to it (if you're using heat) and it's curing too fast and hardening. You want to apply it while it's still runny so you can smooth it and then turn it as it is curing. Turn it more often if it's getting waves. to keep it from settling.
@metals2546
@metals2546 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the helpful response. It is odd that for most of the pouring out of the cup the epoxy is fine, it seems that once I get to the last part that is pouring out, it starts to get wavy. I will give your suggestions a try.
@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm guessing that it's because it's already starting to cure. It cures rather quickly in the cup. :)

Hi Minderella. I just found your awesome videos and music today. Thank you for them. I tried a wood grain tumbler today and unfortunately my first application of epoxy left bubbles. I did seal tumbler with Rust-Oleum Matte Clear Enamel after alcohol ink application, let it dry, then I stirred (Art Resin) epoxy slowly, applied epoxy, got bubbles, used a butane torch, but it didn’t take out bubbles. PLEASE, any suggestions/advice from you would be greatly appreciated? Thank you.
@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 5 жыл бұрын
It takes practice to learn what causes bubbles for you. Sometimes it's stirring too fast. Sometimes it is the room temp when you mix. It is hard to say without knowing. Some cups are just difficult. Sometimes it can even be the sealer causing issues.

nadine tula You shouldn’t ever sand glitter directly as many colors it’ll take off the color, especially metallic glitters or craft glitters since the color is on the film not the actual film. You only sand once you have epoxied over the glitter and then want to be careful as not to hit the glitter under the epoxy. 👍🏻❤️

I really want to cover it but I would rather do it in smaller batches as I have 2litre epoxy and have to do it my living room. your the first video I have watched that actually says the things that can go wrong. The best way to clean it up is if it's wet. Clean it off with a wet wipe or 91% alcohol. I have some that will eternally be in my carpet. It's hard because I didn't notice it and it dried. Sigh.

The gliter is extra fine, and for the first layer of epoxy I used 15ML. The piece that is sticking out is not so big but its visible. What would you sudjest me to do to fix it? Or to avoid that from happening. Thank you in advance.

If it’s one piece only you can use a hobby knife and cut it off even. Extra fine glitter I don’t usually see that issue unless you didn’t use enough epoxy. I usually use 30ml for first coat. I want a good thick layer.

I have been watching all your videos since I found you. Love your videos by the way. My question is I saw you sing a different epoxy in another video and I believe it was alluminite but I see that you are now using the FX premium. My question is, was there a reason for the change, like smell or curing time? I bought promarine and have only done two makeup brush holders and my hubby says that it smells so awful. I now wanna try one of these other two.

Depends on how far they’re sticking out and what type of glitter. Some will change color if you sand it so you wouldn’t want to do that. Needs to be as smooth as possible prior to final coat of epoxy.

I tried epoxying my first tumbler today after watching pretty much every video you have lol. The only question I have is when i used the heat gun to pop the bubbles it caused my resin to drip faster. Is that normal? Its currently curing the 2nd coat. I'm crossing my fingers that it all works out lol
@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is normal. You're heating up the resin, which will thin it. Use it sparingly to pop bubbles in a swooping motion and don't hover very long on any one spot.

It’s best to keep an eye on it early. They usually will show up, if they’re going to, within the first 10-20 minutes of applying the epoxy. You still have time during that timeframe to spread the epoxy out a bit. Can hit it with a heat gun lightly to smooth it out. If it’s already too hard to move around you’ll need to either flood coat it now (mix up another batch and apply all over) or wait for it to cure and add another coat.

Fish eyes are usually one of several things. Too hot in the room and it’s separating, too thin of a coat, contaminants on the surface (seal with quick coat from CCDIY OR A CLEAR SEALER), acetone and a lint free cloth are good to clean. Alcohol can sometimes cause the fisheyes.

@MinderellaCreations

Robin Cook Too thin of a coat can cause dimples. Ripples are usually caused by the top side shifting over the underside because it’s been hit with too much heat and has cured more quickly than the underside.

I was wondering do you have to use a heat gun/embossing gun? I used it once and it made my smoke alarms go off. I read the reviews on the embossing gun that I purchased and some people said that was a issue at first. I'm scared to use it again. Lol. Also, on two of the cups I've done, I have gotten the ripples/waves but didn't use a heat gun. I've wet sanded them hoping that doing so, and putting another coat of epoxy on, would smooth out and then I could apply my decal. Hasn't worked. Can I use a hair dryer on low heat? Thank you so much for all your videos and helpful tips. You are amazing.
@MinderellaCreations
@MinderellaCreations 6 жыл бұрын
Setting off a smoke alarm isn't normal. lol If it's doing that you are likely holding it on one area too long and it's curing your epoxy super fast and it started burning it. Don't do that. :) The wave and ripples can also come from imperfections in the surface or something on it. The majority of the time I've seen it is happening because of heat applied or your room being too cold and the under side curing faster than the outside in the room air. Here's a link that has some notes on it too: promarinesupplies.com/blogs/table-top-epoxy-troubleshooting/troubleshooting-for-uneven-surface-with-ripples-or-waves-after-curing

Minderella1225 the cold air could explain the ripples. I live in AZ and it's hot already so I have the ac on. I'll move the turner to the other side of the room where it's not as cold. Thank you so much for your quick response.

You can do it! I suggest doing research, reading through the TDS (Technical Data Sheet) and SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and determine what personal protection equipment (PPE) is Right for you. I personally have an air filter and wear a respirator. I’ve read that it’s necessary to have an air filter system to take the air out and bring clean air in and wear a complete suite and full face respirator. I’m still doing research on that.
