(seems I actually have the 7100-oops!) I bought this to replace my old printer (from 2002!) not too long ago. My one real issue is that the focal depth on the scanner seems pretty narrow. For example, normally to scan a Cd/DVD coverI would put it in a slim case and put it on the flatbed, but it seems like anything above the very surface results in a blurry image. Any advice?

Thanks, Dave. I am sorry that you didn't mention the printer's ability to print CD/DVDs, which their website says this printer can do, so, not sure if it's a feature or not.

Hi! I am planning to buy my first printer for photos. I am an amateur photographer and I'd like to print quality photos at an affordable price. I was interested in this printer and in the XP-15000, which works similarly. My only doubt now is about the clogging of the printhead. I wouldn't be printing on a daily basis and I'm afraid this would lead to some problems. What's your opinion in regards? Thank you very much for your help!

I don't get to run these printers for months prior to review so I would suggest instead that you do a few Google searches to see if people complain about clogged heads. They do have a "clean heads" feature to mitigate that sort of issue prior to your photo printing...

I have problem with cassete 1. I have kodak glossy paper 10 - 15 cm. Printer have problem transport paper to printing. I don't know how to fix this.

Please reach out to Epson customer service for help. Sounds like you might have paper that's not compatible with the printer or the rollers need cleaning?

Yes it is. And of course it wasn't an 8x10 photo either, but you do get a good idea of its print speed...

Yes, it has Automatic Two-Sided Printing according to the Epson info page, though I didn't try this feature myself.

Hey I recently bought this printer but still have issue with seeing a line through my pictures. I've realigned it but it still happens. How did you get yours to not show any lines?

When you see a line, it's often a dirt or dust issue. Check with Epson for cleaning techniques for that particular printer!

I bought one of these about a year ago, and returned it because it was defective. Customer service knew even less than I did, but I managed to get that one replaced. After six months, I have gotten proficient at using this printer as a paper weight, and I have gotten to print 4 or 5 text pages.. For a few hundred dollars, you would think Epson could include a decent users manual, but what the he.. do I know. Granted, I probably am not intelligent enough to use a printer, but as a Mensa member with three college degrees, I wrongly assumed I could cipher how to use this contraption, but I was obviously wrong. Sorry if I sound bitter, but I am.
